The flybridge allows Captain Henry a higher vantage point to see deeper into the water to look for flashes of Marlin, and also look for bird activity/weed lines (which are sure signs that pelagic gamefish are nearby). There are also outriggers, livewell, GPS, fishfinder, VHF radio, and icebox on board. Our top of the line equipment, paired with Captain Henry’s knowledge of the local water, make us one of the top fishing charters in the Herradura area. While trolling offshore, here are some of the species you can expect to catch: Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Wahoo, Black Marlin, Mahi Mahi, and Striped Marlin. We also offer both half day morning and half day afternoon fishing trips for the anglers looking to get a “taste” of the world class fishing of Herradura. The best way to spend our half day trips is in the inshore/nearshore waters of Herradura bay. We’ll be able to help hook you up on Costa Rica’s most ferocious gamefish, the coveted Roosterfish. Roosterfish are caught the most consistently from July-September, but January-June also produce great numbers. Other inshore species that we frequently catch are: Cubera Snapper, Red Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Snook, Tarpon, Barracuda, Jack Crevalle, and Grouper.
