4 Hour trip – Inlet Fishing (PM)
While it was to early in the year to head out into the ocean Captain Kevin did get us on to fish. These puppy drum were definitely fun to catch. Even though they weren’t the massive ocean fish they were still avery strong fish to reel in. I would definitely book again though I would try booking direct with Kevin so the fishing booker site takes a percentage of the charter cost. Kevin did everything he could to keep us on fish and battle threw wind. We had a great time and my 8 year old loved learning to cast and hook the fish.

4 Hour Trip – Inlet Fishing (AM)
We originally booked the inshore fishing charter but Captain Kevin quickly notified us that there weren’t any fish out there. He is a VA native and knows the waters and has a good network…so he knows where the fish are. He recommended the inlet fishing. The trout were just starting to show up but we mainly fished Puppy Drum (a type of redfish). We went out at 7am and most of the spots already had fishermen. We found one spot and I could see the fish in the water. At one time I counted 10 in the school. I caught my first at 07:41 and quickly caught my limit. We spent the next 3 hours catch and releasing. We KILLED IT! I’ve fished ponds and lakes some 40 years ago and Captain Kevin coached me and let me do my thing to include filleting a fish. My way of filleting is different than his but his is much quicker and easier. I brought home 3.5 lbs of meat and made a fish chowder and fish cakes. See the photos. This is a mild tasting fish. The food was awesome!

I had such a great time fishing with them. I know nothing about fishing and they were very nice and attentive. My husband is a seasoned fisherman and was impressed with their knowledge of fishing as well as their philanthropy for the military. We are both Army veterans. I would recommend them for your fishing entertainment needs. Their boat is roomy clean and their instructions are spot on. Thanks again for a great day!
