Captain Ricky Ferrell will be guiding you along the way on your fishing trip. Capt. Ricky is a second-generation fisherman with a passion for sharing the best of these waters with his clients. Capt. Ricky comes from a long line of fishermen in his family. He’s done everything from sportfishing to lobster trapping. Taking his clients out to fish is his true passion.

Your trip with Capt. Ricky will begin in Key West and you could end up on the fishing grounds of Stock Island, Big Coppit Key, Saddlebunch Keys, Sugarloaf Key, any many other amazing fishing locations in the Florida Keys.

Your fishing journey with Capt. Ricky begins once you step onto his beautiful 47’ Bertram originally built in 1982 and restored in 2017. This vessel is equipped for the ultimate sport fishing experience, complete with outriggers, a live bait well, and a fighting chair. She comes with some very convenient facilities including a bed, kitchen, salon, toilet, and a flybridge. A first mate will be on deck at all times to help you out with anything you may need.

We offer 4,6, and 8 hour nearshore and offshore trips. All of our trips will provide you rods, reels, tackle, lures, bait, and a fishing license. There will snorkeling equipment on deck too in case you want to hop in the water and get a closer look at some of the fish. We practice bottom fishing, deep sea fishing, jigging, spinning, trolling, and light tackle fishing.

While casting lines off the coast of Key West you can indulge in some of the best fishing in the country. While out on a trip with us, you can expect to see a Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Kingfish, Tuna, and many other prizes on your line as you are reeling in your trophy catch!

More time on the water, more fish in the boat! The full day trip gives your group flexibility to switch between trolling and bottom fishing to target different species to fill your cooler with. Throughout the year you can expect to catch Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Amberjack, Grouper, Sailfish, Kingfish, Snapper species, and many more. Your Captain will provide all of the fishing equipment you'll need, as well as a fishing license for everyone on board.

Half Day trip
It’s our first time fishing on a boat. Given it’s off season and we were targeting sailfish, it really depends on luck and captain’s experience to get fish on. We were really lucky to get a wahoo. Was so excited when we first see such a big fish(looks even bigger than in the picture). Captain Ricky was very patient explaining how he is using all different information to get a better chance. Ricky also helped us to cut the fish.

3/4 Day Trip
We booked a morning half day trip. We were told we leave at 7:30 and Captain Ricky had the boat off the dock promptly. He did a great job explaining how the day would go, how to use the gear, and what we should expect. We pulled up to our first spot and were on two Mahi Mahi before he could tell us to stand up. Captain Ricky was easy to work with, and not a bossy Captain which is hard to find. The trip was about being out on the water with friends having a good time and catching some fish and we all of it. We will definitely be back.

Too many to count
Spent 3 and a half hours crushing the yellow tail all morning. Too many to count, threw back the small ones. The only time we weren’t on fish is when we took a break. 4 mackerel and a shark. Then went out deep looking for some dolphin. No luck there but did bring in a large barracuda as well. All around good day on the water!
