Just like it sounds: Bowfishing uses a bow with threaded arrow to shoot and retrieve the fish. Archery equipment is supplied on your trip, and guides will teach and instruct so you get the technique down. You’ll feel like Legolas, Hawkeye, or Katniss as you pull the arrow back and release into the water! Your fishing vessel is a 2016 21’ Center Console with Mercury 115HP engine. We have a livewell available, and the casting and poling platform are perfect for sight fishing your catch. GPS and Fishfinder help us navigate to the fish as we search the grassy backwaters and flats for your catch. Safety equipment includes Life Jackets, Flares, and Fire Extinguishers. All guides are CPR trained and there is a First Aid Kit onboard in case of any emergency; your safety is the top priority at Back Creek Bowfishing. Please the your guide know which technique you prefer, and they’ll be sure to take care of you! Because we’re fishing at night, trips start at 7:30pm and end after midnight. The vessel is fitted with ultra-bright LED flood lamps that help anglers see the catch. We’ll be stalking the shallow waters of the marshes for your next bowfishing adventure! Fishing licenses for all anglers is provided in the cost of the trip, as is all equipment needed for the trip. Anyone under the age of 18 will need adult supervision onboard, and fitted with life jacket for duration of trip. Once you get the basics of bowfishing you’ll be hooked for life! The Back Creek Bowfishing guides will work with each angler to make sure you are confident in using the equipment and are always nearby to lend a helping hand.
