Captain Frankie Bird is a USCG certified captain and Tampa area native who grew up fishing these very waters. He enjoys spending the day on the water sharing his knowledge with anglers of all ages and skill levels.
Captain Frankie proudly welcomes you aboard his 20ft Pro-Line Bay Boat, powered by a 150HP Yamaha vmax engine. This boat is equipped with all the navigational electronics and safety gear you need for an enjoyable day on the water. She also comes with a trolling motor that is used in the super shallow water in order to troll silently and not spook the fish. On board there is a livewell for bait along with an icebox for your catch.
Barefoot Fishing Charters offers a variety of trips to meet your Tampa Bay fishing adventure needs. If getting up early isn’t for you, they offer a sunset and a night fishing trip. Want to try something a little different? Try scalloping. During your Tampa Bay fishing trip Barefoot Fishing Charters you will be targeting species such as Redfish, Spotted Seatrout, Snook, Mangrove Snapper, Sheepshead, and more. Captain Frankie uses a number of techniques to put you on the fish, including light tackle, spinning, popping, jigging and live bait.
Captain Frankie and Barefoot Fishing Charters will provide everything you need for a successful fishing trip. Your fishing license, along with all rods, reels, tackle, and an assortment of baits, depending on the season, are included. You can keep your catch and the captain will clean and fillet your fish for you, so make sure you bring a big cooler to take your fish home so you can enjoy your hard day’s work for dinner!
