Capt. Bill Lake will be manning the helm on your Houma fishing charter adventure. A native of Houma, Capt. Bill grew up fishing the freshwater and saltwater marshes of Southern Louisiana. He has over 30 years of experience fishing the area. Nobody knows these waters better than him. Over the years, he has narrowed his focus to targeting Speckled Trout and Redfish. Capt. Bill is always ready to answer any questions you may have about fishing this area and will strive to make sure your trip is a success.
Your Bayou fishing trip with Capt. Bill will begin in Theriot, LA and go on to cover the inland and coastal waters of south Louisiana. Some of the areas you could end up exploring include Houma, Ashland, Dulac, Chauvin, Bayou Dularge, Cocodrie, Lake Mechant, and many other wonderful locations in South Louisiana.
Fishing will be done aboard Capt. Bill’s NauticStar center console that is perfect for fishing charters in South Louisiana. She is powered by a Yamaha 300hp engine that will allow her to easily navigate through the coastal waters of Louisiana. She features safety equipment such as life jackets, fire extinguishers, flares, first aid, and a VHF radio. A livewell will be on deck to keep all your bait fresh and an icebox can be found to keep your drinks and snacks fresh.
We offer full day trips that start at daybreak and end around 2pm. All of our trips provide you with rods, reels, tackle, lures, and bait. Our crew will clean and fillet your catches at the end of each trip so you may take home and cook for dinner
Capt. Bill specializes in chasing after Redfish and Speckled Trout so your chances of catching one of these exciting species will be high when fishing with him. You can also expect to catch Flounder, Black Drum, White Trout, Sheepshead, and a variety of other species that inhabit the Louisiana coastline.
