We are Black Diamond Sportfishing, one of San Diego’s Premiere 6-Pack Charter boats. The F/V Black Diamond is a 48′ Egg Harbor equipped with 2 full heads, a galley down, a spacious salon, and individual bunks for each person aboard. She has plenty of room for everybody to spread out and enjoy the charter as our hard-working crew puts you on top of fish. For all charters, we depart from Fisherman’s Landing in San Diego. Each trip includes bait, fuel, tackle, filleting, food, soft drinks/bottled water, and Mexican licenses/ visas. The only items not included are California fishing licenses, and alcohol. Each individual trip is customizable in order to provide the absolute best experience for you and your party. Depending on the season we can accommodate your fishing trip for exactly what you’re looking to catch! The Captain and Crew of Black Diamond Sportfishing offers the fishing trip of a lifetime for your group of six! Our minimum trip time is 12 hours – and we can stay fishing for up to 72 hours! Trip prices include all passengers, Mexican fishing licenses and visas, meals, drinks, and fishing gear. You will need to bring a California fishing license, and clothing for a comfortable day(s) on the water (light jacket, sunglasses, hat, etc.). We will take the time you need for a great San Diego family fishing adventure!

Weather cancellations are at your Captain’s discretion, your safety is their number one priority! You will receive a refund for any weather cancellation, or you can choose to reschedule your trip for a different date.

For our 1/2 Day trips, we will leave around 5am and return to the dock around Noon that same day. We provide tackle, bait, fish filleting, soft drinks/bottled water, coffee, Mexican fishing licenses/tourist visas, and breakfast for the trip out. The only things that are not included are California fishing licenses, and alcohol.
Full Day Trip

Our Full Day trips will leave the dock at 5am and return at 5pm that same day. We provide tackle, bait, fish filleting, soft drinks/bottled water, coffee, Mexican fishing licenses/tourist visas, breakfast, lunch and lite appetizers upon returning to the dock. Snacks will also be available throughout the charter as well. The only things that are not included are California fishing licenses, and alcohol.
Our Full Days will vary depending on the time of the year, as we could go off the Coronado Islands, which are located off the coast of Northern Baja California in Mexico (Passports are required for this trip). During the summer and early Fall months, Bluefin and Yellowfin tuna would normally be within range to catch, along with Yellowtail, Dorado and an assortment of bottom fish.
Overnight Trip

Our overnight trips include a little bit of everything, and is by far our most popular trip. We will leave the dock around 9pm and will return at 6pm the next day. We provide tackle, bait, fish filleting, soft drinks/bottled water, coffee, Mexican fishing licenses/tourist visas, breakfast, lunch and lite appetizers upon leaving and returning to the dock. Snacks will also be available throughout the charter as well. The only things that are not included are California fishing licenses, and alcohol.
Our Overnight Trips will primarily go after Yellowtail and Bluefin tuna almost year-round. Yellowfin tuna will also be a target species during the summer and early Fall months, along with Yellowtail, Dorado and an assortment of bottom fish.
1.5 Day Trip

Our 1.5 Day Trips entail the most bang for your buck, as you truly get a full day of fishing offshore. We will leave the dock at 9pm, fish for a full day, and will return around 6am the next morning. We provide tackle, bait, fish filleting, soft drinks/bottled water, coffee, Mexican fishing licenses/tourist visas, breakfast, lunch and lite appetizers upon leaving and returning to the dock. Snacks will also be available throughout the charter as well. The only things that are not included are California fishing licenses, and alcohol.
