Captain Ryan Shea and Captain Nathan Carr are co-owners and operators, and will work hard to guide your group to a successful day of fishing. Both were raised in western New York and have a passion for fishing. Now they’re able to create a career out of what they love doing most. Brookdog Fishing Company brings passion, intensity, organization, professionalism and a laid-back attitude with a need to play outside. These guys are the real deal, and ready to go fishing with you! Your western New York fishing adventure can either be from our 20ft Sport Fisherman, or walking/wading the rivers. We fish year round and can customize the perfect trip for your group. Boat trips offer trolling, drift fishing, bottom fishing and more on our custom craft. The casting platform is perfect to cast your line as you spot the school of fish, we also have outriggers for your fishing success. The livewell is full of bait, everything’s ready for your day of fishing! Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, and Niagara River have a variety of great fish species to target. And they routinely produce a great fishing experience. Your group will be able to target Smallmouth Bass, Musky, Steelhead, Trout, Brook Trout, and Salmon just to name a few. We’ll provide 6-12wt rods, all line types, conventional and spinning rods and tackle. Please note, fishing licenses are not provided; all anglers over the age of 16 will need to purchase a valid New York fishing license before the trip begins. Brookdog Fishing Company offers half day and full day trips for three passengers. Half day trips are either early morning or evening, as this is the best time of day to catch fish. We capitalize on the golden hours and produce great results. If you have just a short time to fish, half days are your best option. If you have the time, we recommend the full day fishing trip. This gives us plenty of opportunity to get a well-rounded fishing experience. We’ll explore, work a number of drifts, and reel in a variety of species. Both trips are customized for what your group is looking to catch, and the Captain will work hard to make it a successful day. You don’t need any experience to fish with Brookdog Fishing Company. Time is important in fishing. People want/need the full day on the water for a number of reasons. The effort an angler has to put forth is what makes the full day charter trips on the Niagara River, Lake Erie, or Lake Ontario different from our walk and wade trips. All you need to do is sit back and enjoy the ride. When we get to the fishing spot just stand up, cast, and have fun! A full day gives us plenty of time to explore, work numerous drifts, and chalk up multiple species. You’ll get a good dose of what the region has to offer.
