Captain Evan Denis will be behind the helm as you experience Florida Tarpon fishing. Capt. Evan grew up fishing in Florida learning where all the different hotspots are at and observing the patterns of many species. He began running Clearwater fishing charters so he could show the world how exhilarating it can be. He will go to great lengths to make sure you are right where the fish are biting. Nothing makes him happier than seeing his clients reel in a giant Tarpon or other amazing trophy catches.
Our fishing trips will set sail out of Belleair Bluffs, Florida. Capt. Evan makes it a priority to put you on the fish, so you may end up exploring the nearby fishing grounds of Clearwater, Largo, St. Petersburg, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Indian rocks Beach, St Pete Beach, and many other fishing hotspots of Central West Florida.
Your adventure begins the moment you board Capt. Evan’s magnificent 23ft Dorado bay boat. This is the ultimate vessel for Clearwater fishing charters. This boat is powered by a 150hp Mercury engine that reach speeds up to 35mph. She is equipped with features such as a livewell, dry storage, power poles, Yeti coolers, and a wireless trolling motor to hold us in place or sneak up on fish. You and 3 other guests will have plenty of room on board to enjoy Florida Tarpon fishing.
We offer fishing trips ranging from 4-10 hours covering the inshore and nearshore waters of Clearwater. From May 1st to August 30th, we offer trips specifically targeting the mighty “Silver King”. Our trips include the use of all the fishing gear, lures, bait, and fishing licenses you need for a successful day of Florida fishing. We will clean any catch you are able to keep and don’t forget to ask Captain Evan about the local restaurants that will cook your catch.
The species we target will depend on the time of year and the trip option you select. Redfish, Snook, Flounder, and Trout are mostly the targets of our inshore trips. Kingfish, Grouper, Sharks, Cobia, Tripletail, and Mangrove Snapper are our nearshore targets. Our Florida Tarpon fishing trips are dedicated to catching the huge Tarpon gamefish that are popular around the summertime.

Around the beginning of summertime, to the end of August, Tarpon show up by the hundreds to the surrounding beaches and passes. They are the ultimate fighting fish with long runs, huge jumps, and some reaching sizes over 200lbs. Tarpon trips are based around the tides and close to the full and new moons are the best time to fish. We use mostly live bait with artificial lures on 8ft rods with 6,000-10,000 seized Shimano Saragosas with 30-50lb braid to target these monsters. This rod and reel combo allows us to land Tarpon in a very timely manner so you won’t get too worn out.
