Captain Abraham Benavides will be guiding you to your next trophy catch. Capt. Abraham grew up in the area and has many years of experience with Laguna Madre fishing. He began Flounder gigging and wade fishing when he was just a kid and fell in love with it. Capt. Abraham began running South Padre Island fishing charters so he could share his passion for fishing with other anglers. He loves to meet new people and is always happy to answer any questions you may have on fishing trips with him.
Our fishing charter will begin in South Padre Island, Texas. Depending on where the fish are active, Capt. Abraham may lead you to other nearby fishing grounds including Port Isabel, Laguna Heights, South Bay, Laguna Vista, Boca Chica State Park, and many other wonderful locations around the southern tip of Texas.
All the excitement begins the moment you step foot onto our beautiful 21ft Dargel Fisherman Bay Boat. This vessel is ideal for South Padre Island fishing charters! Her 140hp Suzuki engine provides us with a steady ride to and from fishing hotspots. She sports features such as a live bait well to keep all of your bait fresh and a cooler to store your catches. This boat has plenty of room for you and 4 other guests to enjoy Laguna Madre fishing.
We offer 5 and 8 hour fishing trips that take place mornings and afternoons. We also offer a special evening Flounder gigging trip where we specifically target Flounder. You are provided with rods, reels, tackle, lures, and bait on each trip. A fishing license will be needed before the trip, they can be bought at your local Walmart in the sports and outdoor section. We will clean and package any catch you are able to keep at the conclusion of each trip.
The fish that inhabit the lower Laguna Madre are bountiful, and we love to target all of them. Some of our favorite species to chase after on our South Padre Island fishing charters include Redfish, Black Drum, Flounder, and Spotted Seatrout.

The start time of this trip is dependent upon the tide. We'll be gigging with an outgoing tide with spotlights around the boat to highlight the outline of the Flounder. It's a fun, action packed alternative trip to our usual fishing trips! All gigs and gear will be provided.
