This vessel is the ultimate fishing machine. It’s equipped with state-of-the-art electronics to ensure your fishing success and provides plenty of room for your comfort, safety and enjoyment. The 39’ SPENDTHRIFT II is one of the largest boats on Lake Michigan that can easily accommodate six passengers. Captain Don follows major schools of fish, putting your crew in the hottest fishing spots throughout the season, resulting in more limit catches and happier customers than any other fishing charter out there. Your next Lake Michigan fishing trip will be fun and successful with Captain Don’s Charter Service! Captain Don specializes in trolling for Trout, Steelhead, and Perch in Lake Michigan. Whether you’re an avid angler or just starting out with the rod and reel, Captain Don is happy to share his expertise and passion with you. There is a First Mate who works hard for each and every customer, and appreciates any gratuity you may leave at the end of the trip (15-20% is customary, and very much appreciated). Your group of six can choose a six hour trip, or an eight hour trip. This gives us plenty of time to get the fish on the hook. Children should be old enough to handle adult sized rods and reels (babies and small children not recommended). There is a toilet onboard for any bathroom breaks needed. Included in your trip price is all six passengers fishing, lures, rods, reels, and tackle. You should bring your Illinois fishing license and stamp, food and drinks for the day, and appropriate clothing depending on the weather. Captain Don is licensed by the State of Illinois and the U.S. Coast Guard. He has the reputation for working with his customer’s safety and enjoyment as the top priority.
