Whether you are looking for a tasty catch or some of the hardest fighting fish known to anglers, welcome aboard for your next adventure! Step aboard a 23’ Epic powered by a 175 HP Suzuki engine. This craft is equipped with advanced fishing technology, including fish finder, a wireless trolling motor, and a live bait well. Capt. Joseph will have all the gear you need ready and waiting on board when you arrive. The boat can accommodate up to six passengers and children are welcome. Captain Joseph is an experienced angler whose passion has led him to master the art of catching both freshwater and saltwater species. As the host of Father and Son Outdoors TV, he shares his insights with fishermen while doing what he loves most. No matter your skill level, rest assured that Captain Joseph has the knowledge and experience to help you reel in an unforgettable catch. While fishing these waters you can target Crappie, Bass, Striper, Bream, Catfish, and more. Capt. Joseph typically uses light tackle, relying on a variety of techniques from trolling and drift fishing to jigging and popping. He provides fishing gear by Shimano and B’n’M as well as tipets and lures for fly fishing (bring your own fly rod). He can also help you target Catfish, Gar, and Carp by bow fishing if you choose to bring your own bow. Captain J Hook Fishing Charters provides pickup service from locations anywhere near Lake Marion, Lake Moultrie, Santee River, and Cooper River. Just remember to bring a valid fishing license. Half Day Trip
We met Captain Joe and headed out on the water around 6am. We reached the desired spot about 615 and the stripers were hitting so fast that we couldn’t even get all the rods in the water! The first fish was caught within under a minute. I am not kidding! We had an awesome day fishing. We had several doubles and even triples! We had our limit on stripers by 7am! It took about 2 hrs before we could get all 5 rods in the water because the fish were hitting so quickly. We went on to catch 24 catfish after that! Capt Joe’s boat was clean, he communicated with me before and after the trip, he was engaging and knowledgeable about his craft. He made the trip exciting and it was nice to have a captain who was just as enthused to be fishing as we were. It was my husband’s birthday and we couldn’t have had a better day. I highly recommend going out with Captain Joe Dennis!

First, Captain Dennis is thoroughly knowledgeable about the waterways and where the fish like to stay. We were on the dock by 0530 and had poles in the water by 0600 hrs. We had fish in the well long before any of the other charters even showed up in the area. He was concerned about what would make the trip the most memorable for us. Capt. Dennis has a great sense of humor, and we all got to experience it. He provides step by step instructions to us when we were had a fish on the line and were trying to bring it in. Our group of 5 fit comfortably on the boat. We had a fantastic time and we will continue to fish with Capt. Dennis.

We lucked up and booked this trip on a short notice. I’m sure glad we did! The locals said “if you ain’t catching fish with Joe, you just ain’t catching fish.” They were definitely not wrong! We caught tons of fish with an awesome captain who was very knowledgeable and a blast to fish with! Would recommend Captain Joe to anyone looking to fish San Tee Cooper area.
