Welcome to Captain JB Charters where we strive to create a charter for YOU. You’ll have a tough time finding someone who knows the waters off of Apalachicola better than us, Captain John Layne has been fishing these waters his whole life. Our sole goal is to make sure you get everything you can imagine on this trip (within reason, of course). So, we hand tailor a day based on YOU. We go fishing on our own, with our family, and friends on our own time. We want to make sure you get that same intimate experience with your friends and family while you’re with us.
We strive to ensure you have a day full of pictures, and fish. Lots and lots of good fish. You catch it, you keep it! Take it home and cook it up. We have a radio on board, but please leave your dancing shoes at home ;) Be sure to bring some drinks and snacks on your trip, we’ll provide all of the other essentials you’ll need for a killer fishing trip. You can enjoy the fishing, the sun, the water, and make some memories you won’t find anywhere else. So, what are you waiting for?
No matter which trip you decide on booking, here’s the main fish species you’ll be chasing: Redfish (Red Drum), Pompano, Flounder, Black Drum, Sharks (maybe even a bull shark!), Spanish Mackerel, Speckled Seatrout, and everyone’s favorite, the Silver King! (Tarpon).
All ages are welcome here at Captain JB Charters. And if your kiddos have never been fishing before, we’ll be sure to help them along every step of the way. Just wait till you see the look on their face when they reel in their first fish!

Weather cancellations are at your Captain’s discretion, your safety is their number one priority! You will receive a refund for any weather cancellation, or you can choose to reschedule your trip for a different date.

Evening Fishing is one of the most beautiful times, the bite is epic and you get to view an awesome sunset while Fishing. Times do vary depending on the months so please call and ask for the exact times, it normally ranges from departing from 2pm to 4pm depending on the month.
