We will be using a variety of fishing techniques, tackle and bait to get you on some of the legendary inshore fish species here in the lowcountry! We will start our trip from the Wando River Marina, fishing all the way out to the historic Charleston harbor. We are always ready to take you out on the water at a moment’s notice! Captain Kaleb pilots a clean and well-maintained 22ft bay boat that’s powered by a Yamaha F150 engine. It’s a brand new boat that is equipped with top market navigational equipment, Minn Kota Ulterra automatic trolling motor, and shaded T-Top. All safety gear is certified and registered with the USCG; your group’s safety is Captain Kaleb’s top priority.
We’ll fish the backcountry flats and inshore waters of Charleston for the most targeted species in the area, including the very popular Redfish. Redfish are bottom dwellers, but during migration you can see their tails on the topwater. Bottom fishing and drift fishing are two preferred techniques when fishing Redfish. We’ll also target other inshore species such as Flounder, Trout, Ladyfish, Black Drum, and Bluefish. Feel free to ask Captain Kaleb any questions about techniques or species targeted on your fishing charter.
Your trip comes with light to heavy tackle provided, along with live bait such as shrimp, crab, and small mullets. You can bring your own gear along if you would like, just let Captain Kaleb know before the trip takes place. He’s happy to prepare everything in advance and customize your Charleston trip to your specific requirements.
South Carolina offers some of the best fishing on the East Coast! The Charleston Harbor has some of the best views of the old city and historic buildings, so be sure to bring your camera. We’ll also see some of the South Carolina wildlife as we travel to fishing grounds. It’s always a great day when you’re fishing in South Carolina!
