Going on the river, places where motorized boats can’t go! Captain David Castellanos is owner and operator of Brookings River and Ocean Fishing. We offer a variety of SW Oregon fishing trips – including this Drift Boat fishing charter for those who want to fish the rivers of Oregon. Captain David fishes the Umpqua River, Coquille River, Coos River, Elk River, and Sixes River for a variety of fish. Depending on the season and the river, Captain David is able to accommodate two passengers; you will fish for King Salmon, Steelhead, Sturgeon, Striped Bass, or Smallmouth Bass. Captain David will let you know what’s in season, and the best bait to use to get them on the hook! He is also aware of all bag and size regulations during your fishing trip – don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions! Two anglers fit comfortably aboard the 18ft Drift Boat with small but efficient 15 HP Mercury engine. This allows for some trolling, but we can also go jigging or drift fishing. Life jackets are provided for each passenger, and Captain David is CPR-Trained with a First Aid Kit available in case of an emergency. Whether you’re a skilled angler, or just picking up the hobby – Captain David can show you a great time fishing the Oregon rivers. There is no age limit – young and old are welcome aboard for a great day of fishing! Captain David provides all rods, reels, tackle, and bait – you’ll want to make sure you bring a valid Oregon fishing license. Also bring suitable clothing attire (hat, sunglasses, light jacket or layered clothing depending on the weather), snacks or drinks, and a great attitude! Half day or Full day trips are available – again, depending on the time of year will determine what you’re fishing for. Captain David is happy to customize the trip for a great experience! Weather cancellations are at your Captain’s discretion, your safety is their number one priority! You will receive a refund for any weather cancellation, or you can choose to reschedule your trip for a different date.
