Kevin Wissing Jr. will be your captain as you venture out on your fishing excursion. Captain Kevin is a true Floridian, born and raised right here on these beautiful beaches. Capt. Kevin has been fishing these waters for over 30 years. Who would know our local reefs better? Let Captain Kevin take you aboard to explore the waters of Tampa, St. Petersburg, Bradenton, St. Pete Beach, Sarasota, Clearwater, Palm Harbor, and many more beautiful locations along the central west coast of Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. Your fishing trip will be done on the stunning 23ft Sea Hunt Triton center console that has a 150hp Yamaha engine behind her to get you to all the fishing hot spots quickly. She has plenty of storage on deck to keep your belongs safe. This boat has enough room for 4 passengers on each fishing trip. She also comes with a T-top to keep you shaded from the sun once you’ve had enough sunlight.

Capt. Kevin specializes in various fishing techniques including trolling, light tackle and bottom fishing, and is used to utilizing both artificial lures as well as live and dead bait, depending on what’s in season and what fish you’d like to target.

On a trip with us, you can expect to target Flounder, Spanish Mackerel, Kingfish, Snapper, Grouper, Cobia, Tarpon, Sharks, Redfish, and many more. All fishing gear needed for tackling these and other game fish are provided by Kevin, along with live bait and lures for the trip. If you decide to keep the fish you caught, it will be cleaned and bagged after your trip by the Captain at no additional charge.

Half Day Extended (Near Shore)
Early October 2022 trip. I booked the extra hour to allow for travel time away from shore (we ended up about 9 miles out fishing in 35ft of water). The captain was excellent in talking about the water and the area. Bait was barely off our hooks for more than 30 seconds. In 18 years of knowing my wife this the first time she ever caught a fish and second time fishing. He made her feel comfortable and respect any requests. (Like throwing the fish head in the water so it wasn’t staring at her!). We were still fighting red tide tail end in Madeira beach but the big fish were starting to come back. We came upon some some big schools of mackerel and redfish. Unfortunately user error on my part lost then big one of the fag. Guide thought maybe red fish or Bonita. Overall we caught about 30 fish and maybe 8 species. Bites were constant and the baitfish were all over the finder. I imagine the bigger fish were about a week out as the water was still a touch warm. will book again when we are down next year.

Full Day Trip ( Near Shore )
Our first time out with Captain Kevin and Catch-On Charters. Three of us (wife, 18 yr old son and I). What a great time! Captain Kevin asked what we’d like to target and I told him we just wanted to catch a lot of fish as we were unable to keep anything due to leaving so soon afterward. We caught a lot of fish alright and a great variety. Captain Kevin was johnny on the spot keeping us in the water and on the fish. Highly recommend!

Half Day (Near Shore )
My son and I had a great morning on the water with Kevin and managed to catch fish even in tough weather conditions. Kevin was great keeping us updated on the weather conditions leading up to the trip and then made some great adjustments on the day of the trip to make sure we were not caught too far off-shore in the really nasty chop. My son was thrilled with the experience and has continued to talk about the great time he had. Kevin is personable, great with kids, and knows his stuff when it comes to boating and fishing. He worked hard to make sure that we went home having caught some memorable fish. I will absolutely be booking this trip again in the future!
