Captain Mike Pollman will greet your group at the dock with an eager smile as he welcomes you aboard his 26ft ProKat. She can comfortably fish up to 6 anglers, not including your Captain. Her twin 200hp Suzuki outboard will get you to and from the fishing gounds with haste. Less travel time means more fishing time! Captain Mike has outfitted the vessel with top of the line fish finding electronics to give your group every advantage while you’re out on the water. These fish don’t stand a chance! Though Dauphin Island is a year round fishery, certain species are caught more frequently during different seasons. But, no matter what time of year you’re planning your trip with Charter For Hire, Captain Mike will put you on the bite. Throughout the year Captain Mike will have you targeting Red Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Vermilion Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Tripletail, Kingfish, and so much more. When you fish with Charter For Hire, all legal fish are heading back to the dock with you! Captain Mike stays current with the ever changing seasonal sizing and limit requirements. If the fish you land isn’t quite legal, your Captain will teach you how to safely release it. Don’t wait too long, Captain Mike books up well in advance.   • Weather cancellations are at your Captain’s discretion, your safety is their number one priority! You will receive a refund for any weather cancellation, or you can choose to reschedule your trip for a different date.

Had a great time fishing with capt Mike. Shared his knowledge of fishing and the area with us. Caught a variety of fish and kept looking for more within the time limit. He and his first mate did very well with the younger kids, helping a 9 year old reel in a nice amberjack. Great experience for a first time.
