Half Day Trip (PM)
We had to reschedule three times due to weather, but Brad’s flexibility kept us in the rotation and got us on the water during our vacation. When we finally did get out, he tried a number of spots and tactics to cultivate the chance of a good bite. My youngster caught one of most species during that effort, but the high point was on the way back where Captain Brad kept trying to get us on a big fish. I was already satisfied with the kid having caught some, but his persistence and determination got me hooked to a 32lb jack on the ride back. It was a blast to fight and land that thing and was the cherry on top of an already good outing!

2 Hour Trip – Kids
Capt Brad knew just the right spots where the fish were most likely to be biting and shared his knowledge about the signs to look for. Everyone in our family was able to experience the excitement catching a fish. We caught multiple redfish and speckled trout, releasing those that didn’t meet the size requirements. My son caught the biggest fish of the day, a trophy-worthy redfish and had the smile to match! The most excitement happened at the end of our trip as we were heading back as the Cravelle Jacks began jumping out of the water all around us and Capt Brad stopped the boat threw out a line and immediately hooked one giving everyone in our party the ability to work together to reel it in. The Cravelle put up a heck of a fight and 15-20 minutes later my husband with help from Capt Brad hauled him in the boat - a whopping 28 pounder! It was the perfect ending to the perfect evening of fishing for our family! We had a great time fishing and highly recommend Choctawhatchee Bay Fishing Charters and Capt Brad! Thank you so much!

Half Day Trip (AM)
This was our second fishing trip with Captain Brad. We had an awesome experience in August, so we decided to go again in April. It was a really windy day and the fish weren’t biting well. Some of Captain Brad’s favorite spots were too rough to fish, so he took us to several spots that were more protected from the wind. One lake surrounded by marsh grass proved to be one of the best spots. It was accessed by a small channel that was barely bigger than the boat, but Brad made it look easy. We caught several little reds, and a couple of specks there. He caught a few small mullet with a cast net in the small channel. We tried to catch some bigger fish with those, but that did not work out. Then, we found a couple of pelicans that were diving for fish, so we fished with them. We caught a couple more little reds and several catfish. When we left that spot, we tried for bigger bull reds, but we were unable to catch any. At the end of the trip, we got soaked from the waves produced by the high winds. It was a blast. It was another memorable fishing trip for my son and I. We caught 11 fish total. One speckled trout was a keeper that turned into dinner. Thanks, Captain Brad, for making the trip entertaining. Even during the slow times, it was never boring. When you fish with Captain Brad, ask him about the time that two bucks made him think he was being attacked by Bigfoot!
