CR Sunrise Sportfishing operates a well-kept 32ft Sport fisherman powered by duel 600hp Detroit engines. She receives regular maintenance and is outfitted with a wide range of fishing equipment that Captain Ever Mendez will use to make your Costa Rican fishing charter all that you dreamed of. All required USCG safety equipment can be found on board, and her spacious cabin allows you to slip inside to escape the elements in between bites for a refreshing nap.
On our full day and ¾ day trips, we’ll be able to take you further off the coast to target Costa Rica’s healthy billfish population. Test your skills and strength against Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, and Sailfish! While we’re trolling for these pelagic predators, we’ll also likely hook up on Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and Yellowfin Tuna. All billfish are strictly catch and release, but our crew will fillet your other catches at the end of the trip for you to take home! A fishing license for everyone on board is included in the trip cost, as is use of CR Sunrise Sportfishing’s tournament quality rods, reels, and tackle.
The half day trips with CR Sunrise Sportfishing are ideal for the anglers short on time, but still wanting an adrenaline pumping fishing trip. Roosterfish, Barracuda, Grouper, and a variety of Snapper species are the main targets during our Matapalo inshore fishing trips. Roosterfish are notorious for their rod-bending fights, you’re in for a treat once you hook up on your first!
