Captain Ricki runs Days Off Outfitters from Port O’Connor, Texas. He grew up with a fishing family and enjoyed sitting on the sidelines of the Jetty’s and soaking some cut bait. He purchased his first boat when he was a teenager and that’s when his fishing addiction really took off! Captain Ricki has spent 38 years fishing in Port O’ Connor and he continue to share his passion with his family, friends, and customers.
Days Off Outfitters has many boats however, on this charter your trip will take place on a 23’ bay boat. She’s powered by a 250HP Mercury engine and outfitted with everything you need for a successful day on the water including a live well for fresh bait, power poles, and a wireless trolling motor. Fish finding technology in on board to aid you in your hunt for fish and the USCG safety gear will be available to you while on your trip with Captain Brian.
Top of the line rods, reels, tackle, and lures will be provided to you and your guests to use while on your trip with Days Off Outfitters. Bait is available for an extra fee and you will need to bring a valid Texas fishing license with you as well as drinks and snacks. Kids of all ages are welcome to join Captain Ricki’s trips.
You’ll hit the various nearshore and inshore waters to catch Black Drum, Sharks, Flounder, Sheepshead, Redfish, and Spotted Seatrout. Light tackle, bottom fishing, trolling, and spinning are just some of the techniques you will be using to catch your prey. Any fish you decide to keep will be cleaned and filleted by Captain Ricki after your trip with Days Off Outfitters.
