Destin’s Boggy Bayou Inshore Charters invites you to experience one of the best fishing charters in Destin! Sail with us and take part of the majesty of Choctawhatchee Bay.

Captain Dexter Early will be leading the way on your Destin fishing charter. A passionate shallow water fisherman and captain, Capt. Dexter has over 58 years of experience fishing Destin and the surrounding areas. He loves taking people out to fish and sharing his knowledge with everyone. He is very patient with kids and beginners to fishing. Capt. Dexter is always there to lend a helping hand or give you any advice you may need.

Your outdoor fishing trip with Capt. Dexter will set sail out of Santa Rosa Beach and search the fishing grounds of Hogtown Bayou and Choctawhatchee Bay. Depending on where the fish are biting, you can end up fishing the areas near Destin, Miramar Beach, Niceville, Ocean City, Fort Walton Beach, Okaloosa Island, Choctaw Beach, Port Washington, and many other locations in the Panhandle of Florida.

Our 18ft Tracker boat is a perfect fit for inshore fishing charters in Florida. Her 60hp Suzuki engine can have her reaching speeds up to 30 knots. This vessel features all the necessary safety and fish finding equipment. A live baitwell will keep all of your catches fresh and a separate cooler will keep your drinks and snacks cold.

Our 4, 6, and 8-hour inshore trips will put you right where the fish are at! All the gear and bait you need to catch these fish will be provided to you at the start of the trip. We will be happy to clean and prepare your catch for you to take back home or to a restaurant for cooking options. Fishing licenses will also be provided at the start of your trip.

We love to target all the inshore species that call Destin home including Black Drum, sheepshead, Flounder, Mangrove Snapper, Spotted Seatrout, Redfish, and many more!

All of the fishing equipment will be provided, as will a fishing license for everyone on board.

3/4 Day Trip
Thank you Capt. Dexter! Your expertise, knowledge, and patience that we took away from our trip with you is an amazing gift and the fish as well. My boys (14 & 12) along with a cousin 1st time fishing with a charter are still talking about the trip 2 days later. Capt. Dexter took us to various locations and spent ample time allowing us to fish those spots. Until we found the fish and from that point the fun was to be had. Can’t say enough about the experience and will look forward to tightening more lines with you in the future!

Half Day Trip AM
Captain Dexter took our 4-some (myself, wife and our 8 and 10 yr old sons) out for a half day and it was a treat. Got just over half our limit of trout by 10am on live bait then we called it. Probably could’ve switched to different spots / tactics - he was open to whatever we wanted - but that was enough for our group. He was very patient working with the boys and kept us laughing with well timed jokes and advice to keep it fun. Sent us some good recipes to cook up our catch as we were headed back to the beach house ;) Would definitely go out with him on our next trip when we’re back in the Destin area.

Half Day Trip AM
Although a thunderstorm came in uninvited, we had an amazing time fishing with Dexter. It was my wife’s first time inter coastal fishing and Dexter made sure we had a great time! He was very informative about the fish we caught, got us untangled from the grass and seaweed (several times) 🤣 He even didn’t mind too much about my wife hooking him with the lure as she went to cast, oops. 😊 we will be sure to call him on our next trip to Destin! Dexter thanks so much for all the memories! See ya next time!
