5 Hour Trip (AM)
When we first got to the dock, Joaquin was already there to greet us. He is a very customer service oriented person, as well as a very experienced guide.
We chose Joaquin because of all the positive reviews and we definitely made the right choice! He was very organized, had poles set up and ready to go for each fishing method we tried. Out of all the trout and redfish we caught, two of them were trophy size. He takes the time to explain why and how on his techniques as well as giving advice on hooking the fish. We didn’t have any children with, but if you have kids, this is the guide you want. His patience is next to none! When we got back to the dock, he cleaned and bagged our entire catch for us. The park and fish guys were there (the ones that check your fish, not sure what they’re called) and they told us we were the only ones at that point that brought in any fish. Even other guides on the water were calling him for help.
Joaquin is a very personable guy with a serious passion for fishing and it showed. We highly recommend him!

Our experience with Capt. Joaquin was great. Having been on a number of charters I have to say this one stands out most. He is the only Capt. that has started off the trip with basic medical and safety questions to inform clients of key items and ensure he is aware of allergies and/or other medical issues. He knows the bay very well and demonstrated his sincere interest in delivering a successful trip. He employed multiple live and artificial bait techniques that delivered an impressive catch of red fish and trout. He will now be our go-to guide on future trips and someone we will refer without hesitation.
Other notes: Quality, well-maintained boat and equipment. Quality bait. Provides snacks and drinks but also allows customers to bring their own. Very willing and effective in helping lesser experienced anglers and also knows how to setup more experienced anglers to get a good catch.

Captain Joaquin was fantastic. Great fishing and good company - what more can you ask for! We caught about 15 trout and then tried our hand at some Drum and Redfish. We tried out multiple locations until we found success - catching some large Redfish to close out the day. Even when the Captain snagged a fish, he would let us bring it in - definitely not always the case with others. Whether you are an experienced fisherman or have never fished before, I would highly recommend Captain Joaquin!
