We cover many miles of water in Louisiana area, and with that comes an abundance of fish. Techniques include bottom fishing near the oil rigs, or spinning with light tackle. We also offer bow fishing trips, that targets whatever swims. All of the inshore fish can be targeted during bow fishing trips, as well as garfish. If you have any questions about any technique, I’m happy to teach and guide as needed. Your vessel for the trip is a sturdy and clean 24ft Bay Boat with 300HP Yamaha engine. And the safety equipment (such as life jackets and fire extinguishers) are regularly checked. Fishing in Louisiana is unlike any other place in the world. Your group hires a guide for the day and we set-out early in the morning and don’t come back until you’re done fishing! Not one for watching the clock, Captain Joshua is more concerned about getting you on the fish than getting you back to the dock. His time is your time, so whenever we’ve reached the bag-limit, or you’re ready to head back in is how long we fish for (usually right around 8 hours). Ellender Charters provides rods, reels, bait and tackle for your Louisiana fishing trip. You’ll need to bring a valid fishing license for all anglers over 16 years old. You can purchase online or at any store that provides fishing licenses (such as Wal-Mart or Academy Sporting Goods). You are encouraged to bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, rain gear, non-marking shoes (such as deck shoes), food, drinks, and an ice chest to take your catch home.
