Captain Steve Smith is at the helm of our 24ft Center Console. Powered by Yamaha 4-stroke with 300HP we get to the fishing grounds quickly and dry. There's a casting platform for easy sight fishing, and downriggers for trolling. We have everything you need; just climb aboard and let Captain Steve take care of everything. Trips available on our 24ft boat focuses mainly on the inshore opportunities of Long Island. We have a half day trip that runs for five hours and a full day trip that can run for eight hours. On both trips we'll be targeting seasonal species such as Striped Bass, Seasbass, Bluefish, Flounder, Triggerfish, and more. You won't need any experience when fishing with Fire Island Fishing Charters, we welcome anglers of all skill levels. Techniques used by Fire Island Fishing Charters for inshore trips include trolling, bottom fishing, fly fishing, drift fishing, jigging, and spinning. We ask that anglers be at least 12 years old so that they can handle the gear. You don't need any experience, Captain Steve will teach you everything he knows for a successful day of fishing. Included in your trip is the use of all professional rods and reels. Captain Steve creates his own custom lures for each trip, available at an additional cost. Your license is also taken care of by Captain Steve. All you need to do is show up and get ready for a fun day of bending the rods! This trip will mainly target Flounders, Black Seabass, and Porgies. You may also run into Bass, Bluefish, Weakfish, Sea Robbins, and Triggerfish. The captain will provide you with equipment required, but you will have to bring your own bow or fly rod.

We target seasonal species such as Striped Bass, Fluke, Flounder, Seabass, Porgy, Bluefish, Weakfish, triggerfish and multiple by-catch species like searobbin, skate, rays, and sand sharks.
