Capt. Hunter and Florida Boy Adventures offer inshore fishing trips on the Choctawhatchee Bay in the Florida Panhandle. Whether you’re an experienced angler or a family enjoying your first fishing trip this family friendly charter will give you plenty of fun. Captain Hunter helms a 22’ Bay Boat with a 115HP Yamaha engine. His boat has an up to date GPS as well as a live well for fresh bait, power poles, and a wireless trolling motor for sneaking up on your prey. USCG approved safety gear such as flares, life jackets, and first aid equipment is also on board. A cooler is available for storing your drinks and snacks. Captain Hunter and Florida Boy Adventures offers a safe, exciting, and kid friendly environment for all anglers. Whether it’s the weekend warrior, experienced fisherman or land lover, they’ve got you covered!

On your trip with Florida Boy Adventures, you and your guests will be supplied with top quality rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Fresh bait and the fishing license for you and all of your guests is also included. Florida Boy Adventures has an Introduction to Fishing trip that’s great for the whole family. You can also choose one of their half day trips they offer. Inshore charters are fun, action packed, and great for the entire family! During fishing trips with Florida Boy Adventures, you can often encounter dolphins, sea turtles, and other amazing sea life.

The Santa Rosa Beach, South Walton, and 30A areas are best known for their sugar-white sand and crystal-clear water and Captain Hunter knows where all of the honey holes are on these waters. You and your guests will be targeting inshore species such as Black Drum, Redfish, Jack Crevalle, Sheepshead, Flounder, Ladyfish, Bluefish, Sharks, and Spotted Seatrout on your trip with Florida Boy Adventures. Captain Hunter will have you using light tackle in order to reel in these beauties. After your bountiful day on the water, Captain Hunter will clean and fillet your catch for you so bring a cooler with you to transport your fish home.

If you're an early bird, join Capt. Hunter on this morning adventure! You'll be fishing and exploring the sights of the beautiful Choctawhatchee Bay, targeting species such as Redfish, Trout, and Black Drum. Your trip includes all the fishing gear you need, as well as your license.

4 Hour Trip (AM)
Early morning inshore trip for 4 hours. Captain Ryan Brown was already at the ramp with the boat ready when we arrived a little before 6AM. We started our trip with the Captain catching live bait via a cast net. The fishing started with us targeting Trout, and Captain Brown put us in the right spot the first attempt. Really fast action! We ended up catching our limit (3 each) within 45 minutes! We did land several other undesirable species during this time and also lost some, mainly due to fisherman’s fault. We also hooked into several large fish that broke our lines so we were not able to see what species got away. Having limited on trout, we then targeted Redfish and through that process ending up catching a number of under sized redfish and some other species (stingray and catfish) that we released. End the trip catching a very nice redfish. Captain Brown is very experienced, patient, and accommodating. He knew how to put us on the fish quickly and knew when we needed to move to another area. He is also knowledgeable about the area and willing to answer any questions asked as we moved around the area. He also cleaned our catch at the end of the trip sending us home with a number of Trout and Redfish fillets. I definitely recommend this captain and boat for a trip! I will book again! I will end with this, that has nothing to do with Captain Ryan Brown or is negative in any way about our trip, but want to share so others are aware: I would suggest that if your goal is to catch and keep a significant number of fish, take more than two people on your trip. State limits on trout and redfish are small so you can limit out pretty quickly with just two people. Might also suggest that you request the captain bring shrimp or another bait along in case you do limit out on your targeted targeted species so you can target other species that won’t take the live fish we were fishing with that the captain caught.

This was a great experience for me & my two sons (11 & 15). We had a lot of action (great for kids). In fact, for about an hour today we were hooking up on redfish and trout as quickly as we could get a line in the water…it was remarkable. Most importantly my kids had a blast. Captain Hunter is very knowledgeable of the area and uses quality gear. I will definitely seek out his services next time I visit the area.

We had a great trip with Captain Gil. He took great care of us and put us on the fish! It was a totally enjoyable outing and now the fish are heading to the grill! Highly recommend a day with Florida Boy Adventures!
