Fly Fish Rockport welcomes you to the Texas Coast. Rockport, Texas is surrounded by crystal clear waters of Copano and Aransas Bays, and nearby San Antonio and Matagora Bays. It’s also the location of Fly Fish Rockport and is our home and base of operations. Rockport fly fishing is some of the best on the entire Texas Coast, with excellent year-round populations of Redfish, Speckled Trout and Black Drum. Or we get occasional opportunities for other species such as Jack Crevalle and Tarpon; fish species that are a challenge to any angler. The city of Rockport is centrally located along the Texas Coast, surrounded by the excellent fisheries of Port Aransas, Laguna Madre, and Port O’Connor. Nearby Corpus Christi provides easy airport access, as well as all the conveniences of a larger city. Rockport is a small beachfront community off the Gulf of Mexico, but still offers plenty of amenities for our fly fishing customers. Your Rockport Fly Fishing adventure takes place aboard a 17’ Skiff that accommodates 2 anglers. Perfect for Parent/Child trips, fishing buddies, or with your romantic partner – fishing for two is quality time well spent. The vessel has a casting platform and poling platform for sight fishing the backcountry flats and inshore reefs. We are accessible for those with disabilities and have a CPR Trained Crew with a First-Aid Kit, prepared for any emergency. Safety equipment onboard includes an EPIRB, a rescue beacon if needed. Your safety is our #1 concern. Fly Fish Rockport specializes in fly fishing the shallow waters of the Texas Coast. We have several guides who are able to accommodate your trip; they will teach and guide as needed for your experience level. We are fishing 12 months of the year, but the season and temperatures will determine what we’re targeting. Be sure to talk with your guide about what to expect before departure. We offer a variety of trip options for your Rockport Fly Fishing trip. Included in the cost of your trip is your fly fishing equipment and bait. You’ll need to bring a Texas fishing license with saltwater stamp, any food or drinks for the day (it’s important to stay hydrated in the hot Texas sun), as well as sun protection (such as hat, sunscreen, long-sleeve fishing shirts). Polarized sunglasses are best when sight fishing, it helps with the reflection off the water. Weather cancellations are at your Captain’s discretion, your safety is their number one priority! You will receive a refund for any weather cancellation, or you can choose to reschedule your trip for a different date.

This afternoon adventure will see you exploring the Rockport flats, where you'll be fly fishing for some incredible species. You'll be targeting Tarpon, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, huge Redfish, and whatever else happens to be biting. This trip is suitable for hardcore anglers looking to hook their best bite yet, or newbies who want to learn the ropes of fly fishing! You'll be provided with top-notch rods and reels, bait, tackle, and everything else that you need for a fun and productive afternoon.
Half Day Trip (AM)

Your Half Day guided fishing trip will begin at the time agreed upon with your Captain. Morning or afternoon half day trips are available. Each half day trip lasts between 4-5 hours.
Your Half Day fishing charter will begin at the marina, where you will meet your Captain already with the boat in the water and ready to head out to your fishing location. As with all of our trips, everything you need is happily provided for you. All of the necessary rods, leader, tippet, flies, etc. are all provided for our guests. If you have your own equipment, of course you are welcome to bring it and we will get it all set up for your time on the water.
We also provide all of the food and drink during the trip. Each half day trip includes drinks and a few snacks for our guests. You are welcome to bring additional food and drink if you desire, and alcoholic beverages are allowed.
Full Day Trip

Price includes up to 2 guests
Your Full Day fishing charter will begin at the marina, where you will meet your Captain already with the boat in the water and ready to head out to your fishing location. As with all of our trips, everything you need is happily provided for you. All of the necessary rods, leader, tippet, flies, etc. are all provided for our guests. If you have your own equipment, of course you are welcome to bring it and we will get it all set up for your time on the water.
We also provide all of the food and drink during the trip. Each full day trip includes lunch and drinks for our guests. You are welcome to bring additional food and drink if you desire, and alcoholic beverages are allowed.
