Captain Tom is the owner and operator of Four Aces Sport Fishing in Ohio. He is an experienced, full time charter Captain. Captain Tom has over 23 years of fishing experience on Lake Erie. He enjoys getting his customers involved in the whole experience of fishing. He’ll show you techniques and skills that ensure a rewarding and memorable day with Four Aces Sport Fishing.

Captain Tom helms a 30’ Pilothouse. With it’s 454HP Marine Power engine, this powerful boat is sure to get you to the fishing grounds in no time! This wheelchair accessible boat is outfitted with modern fish finding equipment and a GPS as well as USCG approved safety equipment. There’s also a toilet on board for the convenience of you and all of your guests. Captain Tom welcomes children so bring your family along for a great learning experience and even better fishing!

Four Aces Sport Fishing will set you and your guests up with fresh bait, lures, and top of the line rods, reels, and tackle. You and your guests will need to get a valid Ohio fishing license before your trip with Captain Tom. You have a great teacher in Captain Tom. He’ll walk you through the most successful fishing techniques to get you the fish of your desires including jigging, trolling, light tackle, and drift fishing.

Four Aces Sport Fishing specializes in Lake Erie fishing trips. Their seasonal trips can be very fruitful due to the numerous reefs and shoals that produce cover for spawning and feeding fish. And Captain Tom knows all of the honey holes in the area to get your reels bending with Rainbow Trout, White Bass, Steelhead, Yellow Perch, and Walleye. Captain Tom will make sure you reach your limit and have a good time at the same time!

Full Day Trip – Summer Trolling
I chose to go to Four Aces because the captain stated he was going to involve the guests in the entire trolling process and not just reel in the fish by taking turns. I have trolled but my family had never done it, but they do like fishing. We all learned a lot about trolling for walleyes. I would like to compliment Captain Tom and his mate Kenzie for being friendly, patient, knowledgeable and dogged in getting us our limit. As an aside, my son got sea-sick, but the captain was empathetic, helpful, and respectful all day. When you are sea sick, everything is miserable and I am glad he did not pick on or tease my son as he slowly got over the motion sickness enough to get back to fishing. By the way, our party of five limited out. A lot of big walleyes, too. We had a little excitement with a steelhead and had to deal with some dinks and a few sheephead. We were happy and exhausted. I would certainly fish with Captain Tom again. The man works hard all day to get you on fish and makes you part of the whole adventure.

Full Day Trip – Summer Trolling
Fishing was great. Enjoyed helping to set the boat up, learning different techniques, setting the rigging…very educational. Thought it was great that it was more than just realing in fish. Caught our limit! Captain Tom worked his butt off.

Full Day Trip – Summer Trolling
Tom was great! He knew where to go and what the fish were hitting on. We had 30 fish in a little over 4 hours. Tom’s boat and equipment was top notch, and Tom is a hoot - great personality! Highly recommended!
