Catch more and have more fun with FUNYET Charters – your premier fishing charter experience in the Florida Keys! We offer the best deep sea fishing trips in all of South Florida.
Captain John Sahagian will be behind the wheel as you venture the waters in search of your next trophy catch. Growing up on the water in Sarasota, John Sahagian was fishing by the time he could walk. After a trip to Big Pine Key in 1974 to attend New Found Harbor Marine Institute, John spent every Summer break fishing and diving the waters of the Florida Keys. After working several years as a full-time diving instructor, John established FUNYET Charters in 1988. Captain John also taught marine science with Marine Sciences Under Sail. Captain John writes a regular feature for FishMonster Magazine as well as holding several live how-to seminars each season.
Our trips begin in Summerland Key but could end up exploring the fishing grounds of Cudjoe Key, Knockemdown Key, Little Torch Key, Middle Torch Key, Big torch Key, Big Pine Key, No Name Key, and many other wonderful locations in the Florida Keys.
Your fishing charter adventure will take place aboard Capt. John’s 31ft Ocean Master center console. This vessel is absolutely perfect for deep sea fishing. She is powered by twin 300 HP Yamaha engines and can take up to six people. Equipped with GPS and a fishfinder, this boat will put you on right track and get you to the hotspots with ease. The boat also features a flybridge, a live well, an ice box, outriggers, and downriggers.
We offer 4, 6, and 8-hour nearshore and offshore fishing trips that provide you with tackle, rods, reels, bait, and a fishing license. We will prepare your catches at the end of the trip for you to cook at home or bring to a hook and cook restaurant. Some fishing techniques we practice include Bottom Fishing, Deep Sea Fishing, Drift Fishing, Jigging, Light Tackle, Spinning, and Trolling.
We target species based on the length of the trip and your desires. You can fish the indigo waters of the Gulf Stream for prizes such as Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish, Dolphin, King Mackerel, and Barracuda. You can also bottom fish for delicacies such as Grouper, Snapper, and Tropical Jacks. Finally, you can stalk and sight cast game fish like Bonefish, Permit, Tarpon, and Sharks with either spin or fly tackle.
FUNYET Charters with Captain John Sahagian invite you to experience the best deep sea fishing in the Florida Keys. Book a trip with us today to get started on your fishing charter adventure!
