Thunderstik Lodge can accommodate large groups and we have several guides to customize the trip to your requirements. Whether it’s a large family reunion or corporate retreat, we provide everything you need for a great day of fishing. With 18’ to 20’ Lund bay boats we fill each vessel with 3-4 passengers and take multiple boats out for large groups. All quality fishing gear is provided; all you need to bring is your appetite for fun!
Walleye fishing on the Missouri River is very seasonal, dependent on weather and time of the year. Most trips include a combination of jigging and casting around structure. Our guides are happy to teach and instruct as needed; no experience required.
The Missiouri River hold monster Walleyes, but we’ll also come across some Trout, Salmon, and Steelhead. Most freshwater species are great for harvesting, but we will need to catch-and-release some species for conservation. Your guide will help you dehook and safely release your catch so they can fight another day. The guides of Gage Outdoor Expeditions are very familiar with which species are best for catch-and-release and are happy to help you with these regulations.
Everything is included in your South Dakota fishing package except fishing licenses. Every passenger onboard will need to have a valid freshwater license issued by the state of South Dakota. Thunderstik Lodge can help you purchase your license if you need assistance.
