You will be fishing with Captain Wayne Gatling, a life-long Rock Hall, Maryland resident. Captain Wayne comes from a long line of charter captains. He has many fond memories of being the first mate on his uncle's boat and he's been fishing these waters ever since. With over 4o years experience fishing these waters, Captain Wayne knows where the fish are and how to catch them.
Captain Wayne is excited to welcome you aboard the Lara Lynn VI, his 46 foot charter boat. The Lara Lynn VI is a USCG certified vessel and comes equipped with everything you need for a great day on the water including the latest navigational technology, all safety equipment, and an enclosed cabin with plenty of comfortable seating. She is a classic Chesapeake Bay fishing vessel with more than enough room to comfortably fish all types of Bay fishing.
Gatling Guide Service - Chesapeake Bay - offers Half Day Morning or Afternoon 5 hour trips, or a Full Day 8 hour trip. At 46 feet, the Lara Lynn VI can carry up to 18 anglers comfortably. The minimum number of anglers for each trip is 7. For all trips, Captain Wayne will include all your bait, tackle and fishing license. All you need to bring are your snacks, drinks and coolers that are big enough to haul your catch home.
While out on the Chesapeake Bay with Captain Wayne and Gatling Guide Service, you will be targeting Stripers, Bluefish, White Perch and Catfish. Captain Wayne starts his Chesapeake Bay season mid-May mainly chumming and trolling for Stripers. By mid-June he also starts to bottom fish for White Perch and Catfish. Once August hits, he starts trolling and chumming for Bluefish which are starting to show up.

Target Striped Bass on this morning adventure and catch your lunch. The crew takes care of your licenses and fishing equipment, so you only need to pack some snacks and drinks for the day. Note: If we catch the limit for the Striped Bass on a trip, we would have to fish for other available fish or turn back.

Explore the nearshore waters of the bay, looking for Striped Bass. This evening adventure is a perfect way to enjoy your day and get some fresh dinner meat. Our 8 hour, full day trip will give you more time on the water to target Striped Bass, Bluefish, and White Perch, among others.
Rods, Reels, Tackle and fresh or live bait are all included, along with your fishing license. All you need to bring are any snacks and drinks you would like to have for your trip. We also encourage you to bring a cooler large enough to take your catch home.
