You will be fishing the Florida Bay with Captain Wayne Gatling. The Florida Bay is the perfect place for those who don't want the rough seas of the open ocean. Captain Wayne comes from a long line of charter captains. He has many fond memories of being the first mate on his uncle's boat and he's been fishing ever since. With over 4o years fishing experience, Captain Wayne knows where the fish are and how to catch them.
Captain Wayne is excited to welcome you aboard the Fishin' Fool, a 25 foot custom center console vessel that comes equipped with everything you need for a great day on the water including the latest navigational technology, all necessary safety gear, a live bait well and ice box. She can comfortably accommodate four anglers for a great day on the water.
Gatling Guide Service - Marathon Florida - offers Half Day Morning or Afternoon 4 hour trips, and a Full Day 8 hour trip out on Florida Bay. They also offer 4 hour Sunrise or Sunset Tarpon Trips at the famous Seven Mile Bridge. For all trips, Captain Wayne will include your rods, reels, bait and tackle, along with your fishing license. All you need to bring is your camera, snacks, drinks and coolers that are big enough to haul your catch home. At the end of your trip Captain Wayne will fillet your catch so you can take it to one of the many local restaurants where it will be prepared however you choose.
While out on Florida Bay with Captain Wayne and Gatling Guide Service, you will be targeting a variety of species including Cobia, Bluefish, Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Seatrout, Mackerel, Tarpon and Sharks. Tarpon and Sharks are catch and release only, so don't forget to bring your camera. Captain Wayne uses many different techniques to put you on the fish including bottom fishing, light tackle and spinning.
