Captain Mike Short will be leading the way as you enjoy your Galveston fishing trip with us. Capt. Mike has extensive knowledge of the local waters and the fish that swim them. He loves sharing his knowledge with all of his passengers and will do his very best to make sure each one of your trips is as successful as possible.

Your outdoor fishing adventure with Capt. Mike will begin in Galveston and end up searching the fishing grounds near Goat Island, Texas City, Galveston Island, Jamaica Beach, Bayou vista, and many other wonderful locations in the Galveston Bay, East Bay, and Trinity Bay of Texas.

Fishing will be done aboard Capt. Mike’s 24ft center console that makes inshore fishing in Galveston a breeze. She is spacious enough for 6 guests to fish all at the same time. On board, you will find all the safety equipment needed for a safe trip including life jackets, a VHF radio, first aid, flares, fire extinguishers, and a CPR-trained crew.

All of our trips include all the rods, reels, tackle, and bait needed for a successful day out on the water. We use several different fishing techniques including jigging, drift fishing, and bottom fishing. At the end of each trip, our crew will clean and package your catch and can give you recommendations to the best local restaurants that will cook your catch.

Galveston is home to a plethora of different fish species to target. You will have the option to target exciting species like Black Drum, Sheepshead, Flounder, Mangrove Snapper, Redfish, Tarpon, Jack Crevalle, Sharks, Spotted Seatrout, Tripletail, and many more.

  • Weather cancellations are at your Captain’s discretion, your safety is their number one priority! You will receive a refund for any weather cancellation, or you can choose to reschedule your trip for a different date.

Jetty/Channel fishing with Captain Anthony....we had a great time!!! The weather didn’t look so good when we got there but we went out anyway. We wanted to catch fish and we did that. Got a couple of keepers and had such a good time. Can’t wait to book our next trip with Captain Anthony!!!

Second time out with this group.
I requested the same captain, Kevin, as the first trip in July of 2016. That trip Kevin immediately put my group of 4 adults on trout and reds, where we could have limited out, but my guest literally became exhausted catching fish (sissies). We had only been on the water for two hours at this point, so Kevin suggested drifting for shark with our remaining time. He knew nearby structure holding healthy shark of which we received plenty of action. The latest trip was unusual for me as I took out 3 young boys (ages 8, 12 & 14) who had never fished offshore or near shore. I wanted to take them deep sea fishing, but the seas were way to bad. So today was near shore fishing action, which is great fun for me. We visited a spot near where we had so much luck at the previous trip, unfortunately today we were only catching sheepshead and mackerel, the mackerel was used later as bait. The waves were heavy today forcing us to get on the protected side of the jetties. After a while we moved up the coast and anchored off an old sunk vessel. Working it yielded only a few croakers. But this is when the magic began, Kevin’s expert guide skills paid off. He spotted tarpon jumping less than a mile from our location, after he alerted me of this, I saw them as well. We lifted anchor, repositioned the boat to drift through the area offering mackerel as bait. The tarpon eluded us, but the spinner shark aggressively responded. We caught and released two nice Spinners each giving great fights. Kevin was on top of everything; all aspects of the boat, the bait, spotting fish, providing his own high ended rods and reels and doing a super job at making sure all on board were safe the whole time.

Great day on the water!
I had the opportunity to take my nephew and his friend out for an early morning bass trip on 3/22/2019. It was a great morning from start to finish. From getting locked and loaded at the dock to telling fishing stories from back in the day there was never a dull moment. Tim took the time to assist us with his knowledge of the water and to make sure we all knew what was going on. It was a successful trip and i would highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a great way to spend their day.
