Deep sea fishing charter. Depending on what fish is in season is what we generally try to target. From Amberjacks to snappers we will put you on the fish. However there are fish that are always in season that we get as well. If it is too rough to go into the gulf then we fish in the bay and target red fish ,tarpon or sheepshead. All fishing equipment, tackle, bait, gas are included and the captain will filet up your fish at the end of your trip.

More time on the water, the farther we go out to catch the bigger ones. We target groupers, snappers, amberjacks more on this trip. Catch occasional sailfish or some mahis. We generally start out either bait fishing so we can use for the bigger fish or trolling and then onto some bottom spots with squid and live fish. Everything is included and the captain will filet up your fish at the end of the trip.

The trip had great potential to be a great day. My family was impressed with how easily we caught live bait at the start. Capt Tailor took us to several places over underwater structure where upon dropping our lines we had almost immediate strikes. But, after 3 or at most 4 strikes and less than a 20 minutes at the spot, without a decrease in the activity, off we would go to a different spot. The last 90 minutes was spent trawling with one line in the water, with only one unsuccessful hit. Our net catch was one vermilion snapper (mingo) and a king mackerel. We released 3 red snappers and had lines cut, presumably by sharks, at least 7 times. Of course we lost some due to inexperience, too. We would have preferred to spend less time ( the last 90 minutes) trawling and an hour more at a place where the fish seemed to be hungry.

Captain Taylor was great! Boat was well equipped. Just a tough day of fishing and a tough time of year I suppose, but I believe he tried everything he could to get us on fish. Would recommend and would absolutely book again, just at a different time of year. Great experience and a lot of fun.

5 Hour Trip (AM)
We had excellent weather and fishing conditions and was an all around great day on the water. We caught 3 Kings and 1 Bonita. Always great catching fish, but with the conditions as good, it would have been nice to limit out on the Kings. Maybe next time.
