Captain Patrick Hemphill will be touring you around as you search for the best fishing spots in the area. Capt. Pat has over 34 years of experience fishing North Florida. Nobody knows the waterways of this beautiful area better than Capt. Pat. He will know just where to go to see you having much success on trips with him. He loves sharing his excitement for fishing with everyone and will go to great lengths to see the joy his customers receive from catching a prize fish.

Fernandina Beach will be the site for your outdoor fishing trip with Capt. Pat. A little under an hour drive north of Jacksonville, this fishing paradise provides many opportunities for backcountry and flats fishing. You may also end up exploring some nearby areas including Franklintown, Amelia Island, Black Hammock Island, Nassauville, Fort Clinch State Park, and many more!

Your Fernandina Beach fishing charter adventure will take place aboard Capt. Pat’s magnificent 22ft Tidewater bay boat that was built with inshore fishing in mind. She can comfortably seat up to 4 fishermen with enough room for everyone to fish. This fishing vessel is equipped with an aerated livewell, fish box, remote-controlled trolling motor, power pole, Garmin electronics, and all the required safety equipment.

We offer 4-8 hour trips that explore the nearshore and backcountry fishing grounds of Northeast Florida. All of our trips provide you with high quality fishing gear, bait, and lures. Our crew will clean and package your catches at the end of each trip. Some fishing techniques Capt. Pat can teach you about include bottom fishing, jigging, spinning, trolling, and light tackle fishing.

Some of the fish we love to target include Flounder, Spotted Seatrout, Barracuda, Redfish, Whitefish, Black Drum, and Sea Bass.

Your main targets for the day will be Flounder, Redfish, Black Drum, Spotted Seatrout, and many more. Starting time may vary depending on the captain's schedule, or weather. All catch that is approved by regulations can be kept. Personal items to consider bringing along include sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, and food/snacks.

3/4 Day Trip – Inshore/Backcountry
Frist, The Captain is a great guy. Wants everyone to have a great time and catch fish. It has been raining a lot in Florida so the water is Very muddy. The Captain was still able to still find the fish. It was a 4th of July fish trip so, fireworks and lots of people can effect the quality and size of fish…. And not the best time for big fish in the area… At the end of the day we caught fish all day and we had several huge fish hooked up that we couldn’t quite bring in. what else could you ask for?

We got to the marina about 30 minutes early and Captain Pat was ready to go immediately so we got an earlier start. Pat was a pleasure to be around and kept us on the fish the entire time. My wife and daughter especially liked that they didn’t have to do anything but reel in fish. Pat took care of baiting, casting and taking the fish off the hook for them. I would definitely recommend Gonna Miss Her Charters and will schedule another trip with Captain Pat.

My husband and I highly recommend Gonna Miss Her Fishing Charters! Captain Pat was early to the dock, was very safe and knowledgeable and had everything on board that we would need including drinking water, gnat spray and even an extra jacket. We didn’t catch huge fish, but not for a lack of him trying to put us where the fish were. We caught lots of little ones, and I was thrilled to catch my first trout! Captain Pat gives you as much or as little assistance as you need. He takes care of baiting and removal of fish. We had a great experience and would love to go out with Pat again!
