Captain Shalton Whyte and his team aboard Island Dog – Justeina have years of experience deep sea fishing in the Caribbean and will take you to all of the secret spots only the locals know. Ocho Rios is known for amazing beaches, amazing waterfalls and absolutely amazing fishing!! The Caribbean waters are teaming with pelagic fish guaranteed to give you the thrill of a lifetime when Captain Shalton and his team hook you up on a Sail or Marlin. Captain Shalton and his crew have over 18 years of experience and are waiting to put you on the fish. The Justeina is a 31 foot Sportfisher powered by Detroit engines to get you on the fish in a hurry! The Justeina has a fighting chair, outriggers and tournament quality fishing tackle to help you land a monster fish. The Justeina also has an interior head (toilet) and a first mate ready to help you reel in your trophy. They provide all the rods and reels you will need and will even clean your fish at the end of the day. Bring your camera and sunscreen and you will have an amazing day on The Justeina. Deep sea fishing in Ocho Rios is great all year long…it is a way of life in the Caribbean! Captain Shalton can take you bottom fishing or trolling…you may even be able to try kite fishing! Whether you are an early bird or a night owl there is a half day trip for you. All of the trips offered can carry 5 guests comfortably. If you are ready to spend more time on the water you have the choice of a three quarter day trip or a full day trip fishing for Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, White Marlin or Tuna. Half Day Trip (AM)
I rarely leave any reviews, but this one is well deserved. I had heard the fishing is tough in Jamaica, so I was hesitant to book a trip. While researching, I came across Island Dog and after reading all the positive reviews, decided to book a half day and so glad I did. I went by myself, had “Kid” as my deck hand and had an amazing day (trying to remember capt’s name). These guys work hard to put you on fish and had a ton of laughs while waiting for the bite. They found em and got me my first Mahi (2 total), both good size, and landed a blue marlin on the way in and got the fight of my life. Another bucket list fish that’ll be going on the wall. All in all, an unforgettable day on the water.

3/4 Day Trip
Excellent Experience! Highly Recommend! Our group of two couples was booked on the Justeina for 6 hours. We got picked up from our hotel in Ocho Rios and transported 10 min away to our boat-very handy!. We were upgraded to ‘Bigg Deal’ from ‘Justeina’ right away. I’d suggest bringing Jamaican or American currency. Also when we go again we’ll be better prepared for motion sickness as 2/4 of us were ill so we shortened our trip by two hours and were back to shore in 4 hours which wasn’t a problem for the crew or us at all….Captain Tony, and Lucky Randy provided an excellent fishing experience and we’d definitely highly recommend them, and we’d go again with them in a heartbeat! We caught a lovely Blue Marlin - an amazing lifetime experience! The crew were very knowledgable, helping us to reel it in, conscious of safety, and great fun! Thanks so much for a trip of a lifetime Island Dog!!

We fished for half a day and the guys on the boat were absolutely great! We got 7 King Fish and all were in the 20lb. range. I would recommend this company to anyone.
