Kids Fish Lanier invites you to join them for an authentic Georgia freshwater fishing adventure on the famous Lake Lanier. Kids Fish Lanier offer fishing trips for children and the young at heart. The crew of Kids Fish Lanier have experience in various fishing techniques, you can be sure you will be in great hands. You and your guests will be fishing from a 21’ center console powered by a 140HP Suzuki engine. The vessel is outfitted with the latest navigational equipment as well as USCG approved safety gear. There is also a wireless trolling motor outfitted for sneaking up on your prey, the live well will store your fresh bait for the day of fishing, and the casting platform has enough room for you to fish from without bumping elbows. There is a multimedia system you can stream your favorite fishing playlist from and the cooler on board will store your drinks and snacks. Kids Fish Lanier will supply you with everything you need for a successful day on the water including top of the line rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Fresh bait will also be supplied. You and your guests will need to bring a valid Georgia fishing license with you before hitting Lake Lanier. The crew will provide water and ice for your trip as well. Depending on the season you and your guests will fish for Blue Catfish, Crappie, Spotted Bay Bass, White Bass, Bluegill, Gar, Striped Bass, Yellow Perch, Catfish, Largemouth Bass, and Walleye. Depending on the trip you’ll get a chance to try out trolling, bottom fishing, jigging, and more. Whatever the case may be, all trips can be catered to fit your needs. I have been out with Captain Hilliard several times, both on the party boat and several private charters. Every time I’ve been out with him we get on the fish and put a TON of fish in the boat. Not only will you catch fish, you’ll learn a ton from Hilliard as well. Whenever I have been out with Open Boat Fishing we have always had a fantastic trip. These guys know the lake, know how to catch them, and they know how to have a great time on the water. The boat was clean, equipment was in excellent condition, tackle was perfect. Absolutely the only Lanier Charter I would call .. really for any species you want to target, but especially those giant Lanier Striper!

1/2 Day Private Charter
I’ve the opportunity to fish with Captain Jeff this past weekend and he was able to put us on some big fish. Captain Jeff put me on my first Lake Lanier striper. Not only did he put me on my first Lanier striper, but he also put me on some big stripers. I’ve heard many stories about these big fish out here on Lanier, but to finally catch one yourself was amazing. Who knew such monsters existed on such a busy lake. He knows where to find the fish and what techniques to catch them. If one tactic didn’t work, he would switch to a different tactic until we catch them. Fishing with Captain Jeff was lots of fun learning experience. He taught me how to hook the bait differently depending on if the boat was moving or spot lock. He taught me how to use a planer board and how to read the fish finder. He was able to pinpoint exactly the fish behaviors. I still don’t know how he does it. When he tells you to get ready and watch your rods, you better! FISH ON!!! Captain Jeff supplied all the gears you need to be on the water and have a blast catching these monsters! He will not waste your time. If he knows the fish are not going to be biting that day and you need to reschedule. Listen to him. It will save you money and time. The best thing is, Captain Jeff is very AFFORDABLE! I will definitely book with Captain Jeff again once I can get back out.

Half Day Trip
I couldn’t believe how reasonably priced this trip was when I found it on here so I contacted Captain Jeff to ask some questions and eventually book my trip. I have absolutely no regrets! Captain Jeff was extremely personable, very knowledgeable, and very accommodating. The trip was a blast, the captain was awesome, we caught lots of fish and had a great time doing it. If you’re looking for that perfect half day trip, look no farther! I will definitely be telling all my friends and family about Open Boat, and will most definitely be booking with Captain Jeff again!
