You will need to bring your Louisiana state fishing license, as well as any food or drinks for the day. Be sure to pack plenty of water to stay hydrated while out in the sun. You’ll also want to wear polarized sunglasses as we sight fish for Redfish. Rain gear or light jackets may also be a good idea to bring, depending on the weather. Fly fishing for Redfish in Louisiana is challenging and fun, all at the same time. As your guide, Captain Kenny will pilot the 17’ skiff in pursuit of the gold backs of enormous Red Bulls. Once spotted (usually be seeing the Redfish tail flick the topwater), we start to work getting them to the fly. While Redfish is our primary focus, we can also catch Jack Crevalle, Sheepshead, and Speckled Trout.
