Captain Brian grew up in New England fishing the cold waters of the northern Atlantic. The draw to the warm waters and year-round fishing in the Florida Keys was too much to resist. Captain Brian loves to fish and share his knowledge of fishing with anyone who joins him on the Florida waters. Grab your friends or family and let Captain Brian show you why there is nothing better than being on the water. Your fishing trip will take place n Captain Brian’s 22’ center console. She is powered by a 200HP Mercury engine and comes outfitted with outriggers, a live well to keep your bait fresh, as well as a cooler to store your drinks. Up to date fish finding technology is on board to help you in your search for fish as well as USCG approved safety gear. Captain Brian welcomes children and anglers of all skill level. March Forth Charters will supply you with top of the line rods, reels, tackle, and lures. Fresh bait and the fishing license for you and all of your guests is also supplied. With all of the high-quality fishing equipment you and your guests are offered, you will be able to try out different fishing techniques and styles to get your dream fish. Captain Brian offers complimentary water, but you are welcomed to bring your own drinks and snacks as long as they aren’t in glass. You may also want to bring your sunglasses and have plenty of sunscreen on hand to shield you from the sun. You and your guests will go after Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, Mutton Snapper, Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, King Mackerel, Yellowtail, and Sharks on the nearshore fishing trips. The offshore fishing trip will have you and your guests targeting Amberjack, Tuna, and Wahoo. Trip Details

You can always count on the bite nearshore, on the patch reefs, and around the infamous 7-mile bridge. Offshore, outer reefs and deep wrecks are weather permitting. This means that we're likely to go after Snappers, Grouper, Mackerel, Jacks, Sharks, and even Tarpon during the summer months.

3/4 Day Trip
We got to Marathon and the weather wasn’t great. Captain Brian Parkinson contacted us and made it clear that the next day may not be great for fishing. He was right, it rained buckets. He offered to keep the appointment or move it. We moved it to two days later. The weather was great when we headed out, but the wind picked up as did the waves. We were fine and he was putting us on the fish they were just not hitting. After about 3 hours we only had 5 in the boat. Brian was clearly upset we were not getting fish. He offered to complete that trip that day with little hope of catching anything or we could come back that Sunday and he would take us back out for 3 hours at no extra charge. Wow! What a great guy. Truly he had no obligation to do that. Fishing is fishing. We declined and he only charged us for a 4 hour trip. That is integrity and if I schedule another trip while in Marathon it will be with March Forth Charters and Captain Brian Parkinson. Any other charter Captain would be like “oh well that’s how it goes” He clearly takes pride in his clients having a good day out. Thanks Brian.

Full Day Trip
In general, it was a tough fishing day, but Cpt. Brian worked really hard getting us onto fish despite everyone on the water having few bites. We did end up catching a few but not enough to feed our entire party. Cpt. Brian gave us some fish he caught a few days prior and recommended a delicious restaurant to have the fish cooked so we could have a good supper. Cpt. Brian is very sociable and has a good sense of humor. He was also very attentive whenever we had our hooks and bait taken. Overall, it was a good day. Thank you!

3/4 Day Trip
Captain Brian took my wife and I out for a 6 hour trip. We started offshore in deeper waters, using live bait and drifting over some wrecks with good success (amberjack, bonita). Afterwards, we moved into shallower waters, anchored up, and chummed for Yellowtail with great success. What I appreciated most about our trip was that Captain Brian did not hesitate to try different methods of fishing to make the trip successful. I have been on trips where the crew will fish one way, for one type of fish. Period. It doesn’t matter if you are catching fish or not. Captain Brian will definitely put in the effort to make the trip worthwhile!
