Fort Lauderdale Fishing Late July

Fishing Report
July 26, 2023
The last 10 days we have seen a variety of different species of fish offshore. Most of our fishing charters have stayed in shore along the reef. With the best fish, and being in sure, most of the fish range in size from 5lbs up to 40lbs. Trolling Between 80-350 foot remains consistently good. With quality catches of king, Mackerel’s, and Bonitas, along with the occasional Sailfish even still a few Blackfins Tunas mixed in. The bottom fishing on some of the shipwrecks has definitely slow down, but we are still seeing some large amber jacks along with a few vermilion snapper’s as well. The shark fishing continues to be phenomenal. Even this late in the season. We still have consistent catches of sandbar, sharks and hammer heads. The offshore Mahi Mahi fishing continues to be hit or miss. Along with the sword fishing, which has been very slow. Still all in all it is a great time of year to do a family fishing charter aboard the Marlin My Darlin.
