You get to keep your catch and Captain Shawn will store it in an ice chest on board then clean and fillet it for you when you return to shore. Redfish and Spotted SeaTrout are the most sought after fish in Louisiana, but we’ll also find Black Drum, Flounder, and Sheepshead at the end of our lines. These are caught on spinning reels with popping corks. The best bait for these inshore species are usually shrimp or crab (live or dead). You can harvest your catch, or catch-and-release to allow the fish to fight another day. If you decide to keep your catch, Captain Shawn will clean and fillet at the end of the trip. Saint Bernard, Louisiana is located southeast of New Orleans, about an hour’s drive from the famous city. Whether you’re in town for a wedding, vacation, or family reunion – a day of fishing is a great way to spend time together! You’ll be casting lines and making memories!
