Located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, in Stevensville, Maryland just outside of Annapolis, Baltimore, and Washington D.C. you will find Maryland Fishing and Hunting. Captain Jason is a local outdoorsman who grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. He has been fishing since he was a child and he’s spent countless days on the Bay perfecting his craft. Captain Jason welcomes you to see all that the Chesapeake Bay has to offer. Your fishing trip will take place on The Marylander. She’s a 45’ bay boat powered by a 430 HP Cummins engine. This impressive vessel is equipped with heat and air conditioning, a live well for fresh bait, and up to date fish finding electronics. This spacious boat has a restroom on board for your comfort and convenience as well as seating under a shaded canopy. Children and anglers of all skill level are welcomed on The Marylander. Captain Jason will provide top of the line rods, reels, tackle, and lures during your trip. Fresh bait and the fishing license will also be supplied. It is recommended that you bring a camera to capture your memorable fishing trip and the incredible sights of the Chesapeake Bay. You and your guests should also bring food and drinks, sunblock, and appropriate clothing. You and your guests will be targeting Blue Catfish, Rockfish, White Perch, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, Yellow Perch, Catfish, and Striped Bass on the Chesapeake Bay. Captain Jason and his crew use the best methods available to target these species including trolling, bottom fishing, drift fishing, light tackle, and spinning. After your trip with Maryland Fishing and Hunting, the First Mate will clean and fillet your catch for you according to the season. Maryland Fishing and Hunting invites you for a fishing adventure with Captain Jason Seman on the Chesapeake Bay that will have you coming back year after year."

The Winter Fishing Season on the Chesapeake Bay can yield some of the most exciting fishing of the year! Not only is trolling an option, the Winter is also an excellent opportunity for some of our guests to learn and experience light tackle fishing through the technique of jigging to catch some of the largest fish of the year!

7 Hour Trip – Summer (PM)
If your looking for a first class trip. This is the captain, mate, and boat you are looking for. They are 100% committed to getting fish in the boat and helping anyway possible to make that happen. Both Jason and Shawn were also very personable which made the time on the water even more enjoyable. I also recommend this charter for anyone with children as they were super accommodating with our son. As you can see from the picture, we limited out on stripers and still managed to put some perch and spot in the boat after that. We will certainly be back and I suggest you give them a try yourself.

7 Hour Trip – Summer (AM)
Booked a relatively last minute trip for a friends 40th birthday and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jason is very easy to get a hold of if you have a question. The Marylander is kept impeccably clean and fits lots of friends for a trip. Alex, the mate, was very helpful and efficient. We went live lining, which can be quite intense once you’re on the fish. And once we were on them, Alex and Jason sprung in to action. We limited out pretty quickly and had a nice relaxing ride back to the marina. We couldn’t have asked for better weather too. I don’t think Jason has control over that, but it sure helps. Fantastic trip. If you’re looking for a charter out of Kent Island, Jason and the Marylander are the way to go.

7 Hour Trip – Fall (AM)
Had an awesome time today! Had our limits by 7:30, Captain Jason knew exactly where to go for the fish. We were catching them two and three at a time! The first mate was excellent helping take fish off and getting lines back in the water. Then we had a great time bottom fishing for drum and white perch. For our first charter we couldn’t have asked for a better captain, boat, first mate, and weather. It was a perfect day and we wanted to say a huge “Thank you!” We will be booking our next trip with Maryland Fishing and Hunting!
