Captain Erich Jaeger will be manning the helm on your great journey in search the trophy catches of your dreams. Captain Erich Jaeger is a skilled charter boat Captain and commercial fisherman licensed by the United States Coast Guard. Erich enjoys teaching his clients how to fish so that they will become a better angler no matter if they are fishing for Tarpon or Permit. Each trip is considered special, and he will give you all of the attention you deserve. Captain Erich also enjoys teaching the younger generation how to fish. No child is too small to catch all the species in the Gulf of Mexico. He will work closely with the young ones so that they can share the same experience with their parents. He truly loves the water and loves having his clients experience the gulf with the same passion he does.
Trips with Capt. Erich will start in St. Pete Beach, but don’t be surprised if you venture on to the fishing grounds of Tampa, Clearwater, Sarasota, Palm Harbor, Largo, Tarpon Springs, Bradenton, and many other locations near Florida’s west coast in the Gulf of Mexico.
Your fishing charter trip will be done on the stunning 40ft Dorado center console that is powered by a Yanmar 440hp engine that allows her to have a cruising speed of 23 knots. She features a 100 gallon live well, shaded cockpit, and all the modern safety equipment including a life raft, EPIRB, and satellite telephone. She also has a stand-up toilet and shower and is completely handicapped accessible. This vessel can comfortably carry up to six passengers.
We offer a variety of trip options from 4-18 hours to accommodate all ages and all skill levels, from the beginner to the avid angler. Whether you’re entertaining clients, celebrating a birthday, or on a family vacation, Maverick Fishing Charters is here to accommodate you! Each trip will provide you with all the fishing gear and bait to catch any fish in Tampa and a fishing license as well.
