We will target Tarpon in the open water between the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, Egmont Key and the Gulf Beaches using a variety of live and dead baits that will maximize your chance to attract and hook the fight of a lifetime. This is a seasonal trip from May to August. This is also a trip that requires flexibility to target these fish during a swift tide. On this very popular trip and depending on wind/weather pattern, we’ll venture as far out as 9 miles in the open water and experience the beautiful waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Here we will target a variety of bottom species and pelagic fish from Grouper, Mangrove Snapper, Hog Snapper, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel and Kingfish. Certain pelagics are seasonal depending on water temperature. This is one of the more popular trips.

What a great morning fishing with Captain Charlie! He was so laid back, patient with our kids, and so knowledgeable about the fishing spots. We caught so much Makerel! Then the local restaurant cooked it for us. Such a cool experience! I highly recommend it!!!

Captain Charles, was the best… my son and I went out for day of fishing, and we hit all the hot spots with Captain and crew. The boat and all the gear was top notch. What a super experience it was. If you need that one on one experience, this is the captain for you. We plan on coming back for future fishing trips.
