Captain Jerod Smith will take over the helm as you scour the waters of Lake Erie in search of your prize catch. He is a United States Coast Guard Master Captain and a licensed Ohio Guide. Capt. Jerod started fishing as a kid and he enjoys this sport as much as possible. He will share all his knowledge of fishing the local area with you to better your chances of success out on the water.
Your outdoor fishing journey with Capt. Jerod will start in Lakeside Marblehead, but depending on where the bite is hot, you and Capt. Jerod could end up fishing the waters near Sandusky, Ruggles Beach, Huron, Bay View, Crystal Rock, Catawba Island, Kellys Island, and many other locations in Lake Erie near North Ohio.
There is no better boat for fishing trips in Lake Erie than Capt. Jerod’s 30ft Sportscraft Great Lakes Special that is powered by a 330hp Mercruiser engine.This boat is fast and stable on the chop and will get you to and from the productive grounds efficiently. She has enough room for up to 6 guests to enjoy fishing. This fishing vessel is built with a hard top and cabin enclosure in case you need a break from the elements and a toilet will be on board for bathroom breaks.
Full and half day trips are available with us that include all the rods, reels, tackle, and bait needed for a productive day out on the water.
You can expect to target the likes of Walleye, Smallmouth Bass, and Yellow Perch. We fish for Walleye by trolling or drift fishing with casting rods. Perch fishing is done with live bait while anchored. Bass fishing takes place around underwater structure with jigs and live bait.
