Nestled in the Alaskan Wilderness, just south of Admiralty Island National Monument, is the Pybus Point Lodge. With a perfect blend of luxury and seclusion, her Deluxe Cabin Rooms are ideal for couples and companions. Your all-inclusive Alaskan Vacation starts when you arrive in Juneau one day prior to your Pybus Point Lodge reservation. The following morning you will be greeted by our team members from the lodge as they help you pack your luggage into a private float plane and prepare you for a short flight through the Inside Passage. As you fly into Pybus Bay you’ll have the first look at Pybus Point Lodge’s Deluxe Cabin Rooms, your home for the week! The Deluxe Cabin Rooms were newly built in 2019 with comfort in mind. These are double occupancy rooms, with options for a king bed, two double beds, or two twin sized beds. Each room has a private bathroom and a thermostat-controlled fireplace, with the option to reserve a room with a private balcony. Every meal during your stay will be prepared by our head chef and his experienced team who have led kitchens for numerous 5-star resorts. Enjoy your breakfast on the balcony or in the restaurant as you look across the Pybus Bay and start thinking about how you want to spend your vacation. You can choose a new, personalized excursion every day! For the fishing enthusiasts, you can depart from the docks with one of our USCG certified Captains at the helm. The Halibut caught in these waters are many of our guest’s primary target, but the Yelloweye, Rockfish, and Lingcod fishing opportunities are nothing to scoff at! Throughout the trip, the Pybus Point Lodge team will fillet, bag, and ice your catches to send you back home fresh fish to share with friends, family, or neither! Once you catch your limit, or decide to call it a day, you don’t have to head back to the dock. Your Captain can take you to undisturbed waterfalls, on eco tours to view sea lions and otters, or on whale watching tours to watch fully mature humpback whales as they breach the ocean’s surface. Another popular option to experience Pybus Bay is by exploring the waters in one of our inclusive kayaks or jet powered skiffs. You’ll be able to quietly explore the surrounding islands of the protected bay, observing a wide variety of wildlife. It’s not uncommon for our guests to paddle next to a pod of peaceful humpback whales, or row to the nearby rivers to see the native brown bear stalking salmon. The inclusive jet powered skiffs are commonly used by our guests for a private fishing trip, some of the largest Halibut caught at the Pybus Point Lodge have been landed without one of our guides on board! While staying at the Pybus Point Lodge’s Deluxe Cabin Rooms, all of the gear that you’ll need for the day’s excursion will be provided. Whether you’re fishing the bay with one of our Captains, or fly fishing the streams and rivers, top of the line tackle and fly-fishing tackle will be provided. We’ll also supply the weather protective gear if needed, including boots, bibs, slickers, etc. We are open from June-September, here’s what you can expect in regards to each month. June: Great fishing opportunities for Halibut, Ling Cod, King Salmon, Rockfish, Shrimp, Crab, and Prawns. For wildlife, you’ll likely see Bald Eagles, Brown Bears, Whales, and a possibility of Orcas. July and August are the peak fishing seasons, the Halibut, Coho Salmon, Chum Salmon, Pink Salmon, King Salmon, Rockfish, and Lingcod bite is outstanding. The wildlife sightings are equally exciting, with the chances of seeing Humpback Whales, Orcas, Brown Bears, and Bald Eagles being extremely high. In our last month of availability in September, the Halibut, Coho Salmon, and Rockfish bite is very consistent, with a chance of Lingcod being a possibility. September is one of our most beautiful months as you’ll likely experience the Northern Lights over Pybus Bay in the evenings as you enjoy a gourmet dinner. The only items that aren’t included during your stay at Pybus Point Lodge’s Deluxe Cabin Rooms is your 7-day Alaska fishing license, airfare to and from Juneau where our lodge staff will meet you, gratuities for your guide and crew, and liquor. Our lodge doesn’t have a liquor license, but you’re more than welcome to bring as much alcohol as you’d like! With our 2:1 guest to crew ratio, you’ll receive personalized attention from the moment your plane touches down in Pybus Bay. 65% of our guests are return customers which speaks to our dedication to providing you with luxury accommodations, world class meals, veteran guides ready to work their tails off for you, and access to true undisturbed, Alaskan nature. Our entire staff here at Pybus Point Lodge is eager to share our slice of heaven with you, we look forward to helping you create memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.
