Your All-Inclusive Alaskan Vacation starts at the Pybus Point Lodge. Situated on a secluded bay on the southern edge of Admiralty Island National Monument, there isn’t another lodge within hours of our location. Your trip starts when you arrive in Juneau the day before your reservation, where our lodge staff will meet you the following morning to help load up our private float plane. After a short, scenic 45min plane ride through Alaska’s famous Inside Passage, you’ll arrive in the bay and have your first view of the Pybus Point Lodge Group Bunk Cabins. Once you arrive at the Pybus Point Lodge’s Group Bunk Cabins, your all-inclusive Alaskan vacation begins! Our head chef has years of experience leading kitchens in 5-star resorts, every breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be freshly prepared and is included in your trip. The Group Bunk Cabins were recently renovated in 2019 and are studio-style cabins, perfect for smaller groups of 3-6. Our cleaning crew will maintain your room daily to ensure you sleep comfortably after a day full of adventure. Depending on the Cabin and the size of your group, there is 4 to 6 beds and between one and two bathrooms. The thermostat-controlled fireplace will keep the Cabin cozy on the chilliest of nights. These Cabins are a popular option for groups eager to take advantage of our world-renowned fishery, targeting Halibut, Ling Cod, Rockfish, and multiple species of Salmon. How you decide to spend your trip at the Pybus Point Lodge is up to you! You can choose a new, personalized excursion every day. One of our most popular options is a guided saltwater fishing trip with one of our USCG certified, seasoned Captains. Experience Pybus Bay’s smooth, remote waters while you target Halibut, Yelloweye, Lingcod, Rockfish, and so much more. Once you catch your limit, or decide to call it a day, you don’t have to head back to the dock. Your Captain can take you to undisturbed waterfalls, on eco tours to view sea lions and otters, or on whale watching tours to watch fully mature humpback whales as they breach the ocean’s surface. Another popular option to experience Pybus Bay is by exploring the waters in one of our inclusive kayaks or jet powered skiffs. You’ll be able to quietly explore the surrounding islands of the protected bay, observing a wide variety of wildlife. It’s not uncommon for our guests to paddle next to a pod of peaceful humpback whales, or row to the nearby rivers to see the native brown bear stalking salmon. The inclusive jet powered skiffs are commonly used by our guests for a private fishing trip, some of the largest Halibut caught at the Pybus Point Lodge have been landed without one of our guides on board! While staying at the Pybus Point Lodge Group Bunk Cabins, all of the gear that you’ll need for the day’s excursion will be provided. Whether you’re fishing the bay with one of our Captains, or fly fishing the streams and rivers, top of the line tackle and fly-fishing tackle will be provided. We’ll also supply the weather protective gear if needed, including boots, bibs, slickers, etc. We are open from June-September and here’s what you can expect in regard to each month. June: Great fishing opportunities for Halibut, Ling Cod, King Salmon, Rockfish, Shrimp, Crab, and Prawns. For wildlife, you’ll likely see Bald Eagles, Brown Bears, Whales, and a possibility of Orcas. July and August are the peak fishing seasons, the Halibut, Coho Salmon, Chum Salmon, Pink Salmon, King Salmon, Rockfish, and Lingcod bite is outstanding. The wildlife sightings are equally exciting, with the chances of seeing Humpback Whales, Orcas, Brown Bears, and Bald Eagles being extremely high. In our last month of availability in September, the Halibut, Coho Salmon, and Rockfish bite is very consistent, with a chance of Lingcod being a possibility. September is one of our most beautiful months as you’ll likely experience the Northern Lights over Pybus Bay in the evenings as you enjoy a gourmet dinner. The only items that aren’t included during your stay at Pybus Point Lodge’s Group Cabins is your 7-day Alaska fishing license, airfare to and from Juneau where our lodge staff will meet you, gratuities for your guide and crew, and liquor. Our lodge doesn’t have a liquor license, but you’re more than welcome to bring as much alcohol as you’d like! With our 2:1 guest to crew ratio, you’ll receive personalized attention from the moment your plane touches down in Pybus Bay. 65% of our guests are return customers which speaks to our dedication to providing you with luxury accommodations, world class meals, veteran guides ready to work their tails off for you, and access to true undisturbed, Alaskan nature.
