Our goal is your happiness and we will work hard to make sure you have the time of your life out on the water with us.

Captain Stuart Smith will be leading the way on your Chesapeake Bay fishing charter. Capt. Stuart has been fishing his whole life. He has great experience catching both freshwater and saltwater species. He loves fishing in Chesapeake Bay and started running guided fishing trips so he could show everyone just how exciting it can be. Capt. Stuart prides himself on being versatile and accommodating his clients preferred targeted species. He loves to share his knowledge with all of his customers and is always happy to answer any questions you may have on trips with him.

Our fishing charters set sail out of Poquoson, Virginia. From there, we will explore different areas of the Chesapeake Bay. Areas we may explore include The Poquoson River, Goodwin Islands, York River, James River, Southwest and Northwest Branch Back River, and many other glorious locations in the area.

All the fun begins the moment you board our splendid 26ft Southern Cross center console. This boat is perfect for fishing in the Chesapeake Bay! She is powered by a 300hp Suzuki engine that can reach cruising speeds up to 40 knots. This vessel sports features such as a casting platform, a livewell, outriggers, a flybridge, GPS, and a fishfinder. There is more than enough room for you and 5 of your friends or family members to enjoy Chesapeake Bay fishing charters.

We offer 4 and 8 hour trips that take place morning and afternoons. We will provide you with everything you need to enjoy a great day of fishing in the Chesapeake Bay. All fishing trips include high quality fishing gear, lures, bait, and a fishing license. A catch cleaning service will also be provided at no extra charge.

The Chesapeake Bay is full of wonderful species to chase after. Some of our favorite species to target are Cobia, Spanish Mackerel Black Drum, Redfish, Bluefish, and Striped Bass just to name a few.

We will be fishing the Chesapeake Bay Out on some of the near by reefs and flats with in aprox 20-25 min Boat ride from the marina. We Have opportunities to catch a multitude of fish Including Cobia, Spade fish, flounder, Sheep's head, and more. We specialize in sight fishing and chumming for cobia and Bull Red drum. Catching bull reds and black drum starting in April through October and mid May - September catching Cobia. It is an an adrenaline packed trip with some hard pulling fish! If you want some drag screaming these fish are for you. If you want to fill a cooler we can chase after Spade fish, mackerel, Flounder and sheep's head! Or a family fun bottom fishing trip for spot and croaker !

Professional Captain
From finalizing my fishing trip details to putting fish in the boat Reel Blonde Charter’s showcased nothing but professionalism. The prediction for weather for this trip was flakey at best. Doesn’t matter, Capt Stuart not only found the fish, but checked every box associated with Cobia fishing. Did so well it turned into a catch and release afternoon due to the box being full. For a new comer to Cobia fishing I truly couldn’t have asked for more. Reel Blond has not made a return customer but rather a patron to their business.

Fun Captain
Spent a few hours on the James River catfishing. Had a blast. Caught 4, no great big ones, but who wants to eat the great big ones. When we didn’t get bits in a spot, we’d move to try another one. Capt Stuart is a lot of fun to be on the water with. He is very knowledgeable, very careful on the water and safety is first. If you want a fun day on the water, check him out.

Amazing experience!
Stuart is extremely knowledgeable and able to easily navigate the bay, even when the water is pretty choppy. We were a little early in the season for cobia or drum, but we did land several sandsharks and had a fantastic time overall.
