Reel Em Up Fishing Adventures and Captain Rod Shulley are located in Hillsboro, Oregon. Captain Rod has been fishing the coastal rivers of Oregon for over 25 years. His passion for fishing and learning new fishing techniques keeps him looking for new ways to fish. He enjoys teaching and giving people a hands on learning experience. And he welcomes children and anglers of all skill level.

Captain Rod is at the helm of a 28’ covered heated alumaweld formula vee powered by A mercury 250Hp and 15Hp trolling motor. His vessel is equipped with A GPS, fish finder,VHF radio and a radar to ensures you’ll be spending more time fishing. He also has All USCG approved safety gear on board as well.

Bring your fishing license when you book your trip with Reel Em Up Fishing Adventures. Captain Rod will have you fishing many different techniques. He’ll have you jigging, spinning, light tackle fishing, drift fishing, bottom fishing, or deep sea fishing. His experience in these different fishing methods ensures you and your guests will be reeling in some big ones! Reel Em Up Fishing Adventures will supply the rods, reels, terminal tackle, lures, fresh bait, and bottled water. Captain Rod will also clean and fillet your catch for you!

Reel Em Up Fishing Adventures has many different fishing trips to choose from. You and your guests will have the option of a half day AM trip, half day PM trip, full day trip, or a fishing/crabbing combo trip. You can be sure that your lines will be biting with Black Seabass, Coho Salmon, King Salmon, Lake Trout, Ling Cod, Rainbow Trout, Rockfish, Shad, Steelhead Sturgeon, Walleye, and Dungeness crab.

Trip Details

Come join Captain Rod for 8 hours of pure fishing adventure on the Beaverton waters! Starting off early, you'll grab a rod and head straight after Chinook, Coho, Sturgeon, and Walleye! There'll be Steelhead and Lingcod lurking nearby, so hold tight! Rods, reels and tackle, and live bait will be waiting for you on board, just grab snacks, put on shades and you're good to go! Children aged 13 and below pay 125 $ for this angling experience. Not all fish bite year-round, so it might be good to read ahead.

8 Hour Trip – Salmon/Crabbing
My father and I had an amazing experience fishing Bouy 10 August 2018. We caught two salmon and had a wonderful day out on the water. Rod was so experienced and even fillet our fish to take home. He was patient and knew just what to do and where to find the fish. We set our pots for crab and had a feast by the time it was to go in. This was my first time out on the water in a fishing boat and I enjoyed every minute. We will be back again next year!

Rod was a great guide and very accommodating for our trip. The chinook weren’t biting, so we started targeting sturgeon about half way through our trip and it was non-stop fun. Great guide and a great day of fishing!

Thank you Rod for a great time fishing. We caught our fish early and Rod continued to work every technique to get the fish to bite in our full day of fishing. At the end of the trip, Rod filleted our salmon and even provided some ways to cook on our Traeger. We will definitely call on Rod for our next fishing trip. Great day of fishing!!
