We generally travel 10-25 miles in order fish the best spots for walleye. November to March is the best time to chase that trophy walleye. If you’re looking to catch sheer numbers I would recommend April to July dates. We utilize multiple different techniques to catch walleye including jigging, casting, and trolling. We generally travel 3-15 miles to the best producing perch spots in the area. This is a rod in hand vertical style fishing, with spreaders and crappie style rigs using emerald shiners for best results. Perch fishing is best from August to November.
