Capt. Phil Havlicek and his crew will be leading the way on your deep sea fishing trip. Our crew has been fishing and running charters in the San Francisco Bay area for over 40 years. Capt. Phil has a deep passion for being out on the ocean and the sport of fishing. He has vast knowledge of everything involved with fishing this area including the species, the waterways, weather, and the different methods of catching fish. He will provide you with great insight and answers to any questions you may have.
Your ocean fishing adventure will begin about 10 minutes away from the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito, CA. From there, we will explore the nearby waters of San Francisco, San Quentin, Richmond, San Rafael, Berkeley, Oakland, Alameda, and many other locations along the Central West Coast of California
Fishing will be done aboard our 31ft Cabo Yacht that makes fishing charters in San Francisco a dream come true. She is powered by a pair 330hp Volvo engines that will allow her to quickly travel from spot to spot. This fishing vessel comes with an air-conditioned interior that features a kitchen, toilet, refrigerator, salon, and toilet. She can carry up to 4 guests at a time so you and 3 of your friends or family members can tag along.
Tournament quality rods and reels can be rented for $15 per rod for the day, and we recommend bringing 2lb or 2.5lb trolling weights for the day. If not, Captain Phil can provide weights at $7 and $8 respectively. We practice a variety of fishing techniques such as bottom fishing, drift fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, and light tackle fishing.
San Francisco is home to a plethora of amazing species. On your trips with us, you can expect to target the likes of Ling Cod, Tuna, Halibut, Striped Bass, Salmon, Sturgeon, and more!

Weather cancellations are at your Captain’s discretion, your safety is their number one priority! You will receive a refund for any weather cancellation, or you can choose to reschedule your trip for a different date.

This trip is customized based on your interests. Price includes bait and ice. Rods can be rented for $15 per person. Trolling weights cost $7-8 or you can bring your own. You'll typically target Salmon but there are other fishing opportunities depending on the time of year. If you choose to explore the Farallon Islands a fuel surcharge will apply. Also, because of very high fuel prices, there will be an additional charge for fuel used. This will be in effect until prices return to normal.
